So, the group immediately headed towards Rising Spring hotel. This was a five-star hotel, quite popular within the city.

The location of the hotel was not that far from the shooting range, so, it only took the group a few minutes to arrive.

Looking at this hotel, Michael was quite amazed. This was the first time that he was going to visit a five-star hotel.

The hotel appeared as a tall, modern structure with a reflective glass exterior that caught the sunlight in bright angles.

A wide stone-paved driveway led directly to the front, where a smooth, curved canopy stretched out over the drop-off area, offering shade to guests stepping out of their vehicles.

The parking area beside the driveway held only a handful of cars, but each one stood out. They included black sedans, polished luxury SUVs, and a bright red supercar parked near the entrance, drawing a few glances from passersby or those coming in and out of the hotel.

Low hedges bordered the lot, trimmed neatly, and a few well-placed trees added touches of green around the edges.

Through the large front windows, only soft lighting and the silhouettes of people moving inside were visible, but nothing more.

Uniformed staff waited near the entrance, and the revolving glass doors turned slowly as guests entered or exited.

Looking at the dressing code, and the way that the people that came here carried themselves, it was clear that they were of high social status.

The group parked their cars, before they all went into the hotel.

The lobby of the hotel was way more amazing as compared to that of Crown Hotel. It was no wonder that this was a five-star hotel.

Stepping inside, it suddenly felt cool, which was way better as compared to the hot sun outside, despite it already being 4 p.m.

Alex booked one of the bigger private rooms, before the entire group went to the 4th floor of the 27 floors building.

The private room was quite exquisite in its design, making it look quite attractive.

The group settled in, before they ordered for different dishes.

While waiting for it, the group began chatting around, to the extent that they forgot that this was supposed to be a chance for Michael and Kate to catch up.

Understanding that what she wanted to ask was not something that she could ask openly, Kate was not sure how to ask in such a crowded place.

So, for most of the time until the food was served, she remained silent. As for Michael, with many people asking some questions, he had no other choice but to respond where necessary.

The atmosphere within the private dining room was quite harmonious, and after the dishes were served, they began eating.

Even though most of them had already eaten before going to the shooting range, it had already been quite a while. So, they did not hold back when they were eating.

Having already gotten used to the food that was prepared by Adrian, Michael found the food that was served in the five-star hotel quite bland.

But, he was sure that nobody would bother much with that. After all, Drenn city was a very small city. Nobody could guess that he originated from there, unless Kate revealed that.

"During the time that I was posted there, I happened to meet him. We interacted a few times." Kate responded without revealing the details.

"Is this not the same thing that you said before? What's the difference?" Alex suddenly questioned, a blank expression on his face.

When he said those words, the others also nodded. After all, this was just what Kate had said during the time that they were still at the shooting range, though framed differently.

And, when Raymond asked, they wanted her to reveal the details. But from the looks of it, she seemed to be unwilling.

Kate wanted to respond when suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Alex immediately stood up, before he went to open the door.

He came back with a lady. Everyone looked over, with each one of them recognizing her.

The lady wore a tailored, sleeveless cream-colored sheath dress that fell just below her knees, paired with nude heels.

Her chestnut-brown hair was neatly pulled back into a low bun, and her hazel eyes caught the light with a calm intensity.

Her makeup was natural and understated, and she carried herself with a confident, composed demeanor, her sharp features and poised posture giving her an air of authority.

Her appearance here caught everyone off guard, of course, that was apart from Alex, who had invited her.

This was none other than his elder sister, who was also supposed to take over the family business. She had already gotten herself involved in the family business since she was a teenager.

So, continuous interaction with some influential figures had made her build a strong personality, with an air of confidence around her.

Standing next to Alex, it was quite easy to completely ignore Alex, as not only her appearance, but her demeanor was quite attention grabbing.

Michael looked at her, immediately recognizing her. She was Melvin Walter, Alex's sister. Though, he was slightly puzzled at the reason why she was here.

He was not the only one, as Raymond, standing up, he looked at Melvin that asked, "Melvin, what brought you here?"

At the same time as he asked the question, he gazed at Alex, as though he wanted an explanation from him. After all, they were just here, hanging out.

If Melvin joined them, they would not be as free as they usually were. This could be easily seen from the others apart from Dalton, Kate and Michael.

It was clear, the others were intimidated by Melvin's presence. So, it would be impossible for them to be able to freely act, which would kind of ruin the atmosphere.

"Don't worry, I only came here because I was told that a special guest was here." Melvin responded with a slight smile.

A special guest? When they heard Melvin saying this, they all inadvertently gazed at Michael.

Kate, who was sitting next to Michael, was slightly confused, as she also gazed at Michael, wondering, what was going on? Was it possible that Michael knew Melvin?

"I wonder, what does miss Walter need from me?" Michael was not ready to beat around the bush, as he immediately asked the reason why Melvin came to find him. Though, in his mind, he already had his guesses.
