While looking at the people around, Melvin replied, "It's not convenient for us to talk about it here. How about this? I would like to invite Mr. Santos within the next few days, whenever you're free, so that we can talk about it. Will that work?"

Michael raised his brows slightly at that. Though, he simply shrugged as he said, "No problem. But, I'm always busy with some things, and I might not be available for some time.

How about this, I will inform my assistant to contact you. In case there is anything, just tell him, and he will let me know."

Michael was if course referring to Adrian as his assistant. He thought, he could have Adrian handle these matters for him in the future.

Since that was the case, he could maybe purchase another bio human of the same level as Adrian to handle the issue of compiling the information for him.

Then, Adrian would mostly be free, thus, he could represent him on many occasions, especially considering the plan that he was having on Sky Technologies.

Melvin was not expecting such a response from Michael. But then again, she thought that it made sense.

Before coming over, she had looked at the information of the person who had acquired Sky Technologies.

When she saw that he was very young, most probably in his teenage years, she was shocked. But at that time, she understood that the backing that he had was anything but simple.

That was why she was determined to get a cooperation with him through Sky Technologies. Her target wasn't the technology company, but instead, it was Michael himself.

As long as there was some connection between them, in the future, it would be easier to handle any other forms of cooperation if there would be any opportunities in the future.

"Okay, I'm good with that. Since that is the case, I would like to excuse myself, to allow you guys to continue with what you were doing." Melvin responded with a smile on her face.

Michael nodded in return, and Melvin left the private room.

After she left, there was quite a moment of silence. Alex, Raymond and the others, each one of the from some influential families within the city, they all looked at Michael, feeling kind of ashamed of themselves.

They were older than Michael by at least two years. But, Michael, who was in his teenage, was very busy, that he had to have his assistant handle some matters for him.

They on the other hand, apart from having fun, there was nothing else that they were doing.

Despite what they were feeling, actually, none of them even thought of getting themselves involved in the family business.

They had already gotten used to this kind of life, where they were unrestrained. How could they accept having to sit behind a desk for hours, handling paperwork for an entire day?

Michael did not know what was going on in the minds of the group around him. Instead, he was focused on Kate.

This beauty, at the moment, she was gazing intently at him, as though she was trying to see through him. He understood why she was behaving this way, as she knew much of his history.

Having seen him at his lowest, how could she suddenly adapt to seeing him in such a high position? This would obviously take some time for her to get used to it.

When she noticed that Michael was looking at her, Kate came back to her senses. She gazed into Michael's eyes and asked in a low voice, "Just what kind of background do you really have?"

Because she was a police officer, when she saw that there was a mystery that surrounded Michael, she wanted to unveil it and see what lay beneath.

At Kate's question, everyone in the private room immediately perked up, wanting to see how Michael would respond.

They thought, since Michael seemed to be quite close to Kate, maybe he would reveal about his background to her?

Though, they were surprised that even she, who had seemingly interacted with Michael for some time, was clueless about his background.

"It's inconvenient for us to talk about anything here. So, if you are free tomorrow, how about we get a cup of coffee?" Michael asked after a moment of thought.

"Nope, that won't work. Tomorrow I will be on duty for most of the day, and won't easily get time. How about this, let's go to your house.

We can talk along the way, and in case the talk cannot be complete during the trip, I would pay you a visit at your place when I'm free." Kate responded.

Her response raised a wave of low exclamations throughout the room. Alex and the others, including Raymond, both looked at Kate as though they were looking at a stranger.

Was this the same person that they knew? The Kate that they knew was usually cold and aloof to most of the people around her, only focusing on her career.

And, this was the first time that she was actively seeking to know someone's place. And one had to know, this was a person of an opposite gender!

The two of them seemed to be of almost the same age. Was it possible that Kate had fallen for this kid?

Raymond could not help but start musing about such a possibility. But no matter how much he thought about it, he could only shake his head, believing that it was impossible.

Despite the limited interaction between himself and this cousin of his, he believed that of all the people here, he was the one who knew her the most.

And, from the way that he knew her, it was impossible for her to fall for someone, considering that she had a goal in mind. She was seeking justice for her father, so obviously, she would not be distracted by romance.

Michael did not care about the little murmuring in the private room. Instead, he thought that Kate's idea was not that bad.

So, he nodded in agreement as he said, "Alright. Then let's go now. I might as well take this chance to go back and handle a few other things that are still pending."

Michael was thinking about going back, in order to buy another bio human from the system store. And apart from that, there was also something else that needed to be handled.

For the bio humans, if necessary, he might as well purchase two of them, so that he could make things easier for himself.

Adrian would be his personal assistant, another one would be in charge of managing his business outside, while the other one would be in charge of compiling the information.

Considering the number of possible skills out there, it would take a lot of time in order to be able to compile all that information. So, it required someone who was solely dedicated to that task.

As for the reason why he appointed Adrian for the task of being his personal assistant, it was because Adrian held a special place in his heart.

Adrian was the first bio human that he had purchased from the system store. And more than that, they had been together for quite a while now, and during the time that he was focused on reading, it was Adrian who kept him company.

So, it could be said that the two of them had formed some kind of bond. At least, as compared to other bio humans if he acquired them, Adrian would not be like a stranger to him.

"Hey, you are already planning to leave? But we have not even been here for long. Anyway, let's say that you are not that much interested in food. How about this, let's go and find some other source of entertainment." Alex suddenly spoke up.

Even though his sister had already come over, and had made an agreement with Michael, it was still not enough. After all, his sister would be dealing with Michael's assistant, not Michael himself.

If he himself could form a connection with Michael, a friendship, and maybe, sworn brotherhood, how amazing would that be?

Those that looked down on him in the family, they would have to look up to him from then on. But of course, he was not mainly looking to form a friendship with Michael because of this.

Instead, it was mainly because he bought, Michael was a good option to make a friend with. He seemed to be quite genuine, and did not put on airs, despite his background obviously being higher than either of them here.

Additionally, this guy was quite skilled. Maybe, he could give him some pointers, allowing him to be able to easily dominate the other young masters and misses.

"Let's talk about that another time. I am currently busy with something, so, it's better if I get going now. We will get more time to interact in the future." Michael said as he stood up.

Alex wanted to insist, but in the end, he decided against it. It would be better if he did not push too much. At least, Michael was still open to hanging out with them.

Michael and Kate both left the private room, but Raymond quickly followed after them.

Kate turned and looked at her cousin and asked, "What's wrong? Is there anything that you would like to say?"

"Ah..." Raymond really seemed to have something that he wanted to say, but in the end, he stopped himself.

Looking at the way that Kate was looking at him, despite being older than her, he still felt a little awkward.

To ease the awkwardness, he could only say, "Actually, I only wanted to inform you about something."
