Chapter 779 - 382: We’ll Just Obey

Chapter 779: Chapter 382: We’ll Just Obey

"Zhou Ze is from Galaxy Group, after all. We can’t afford to offend them. Besides, this mission requires Galaxy Group’s funding and technical support. So, I need you to cooperate with him as much as possible. Understand?"

"Understood!"

The squad members nodded reluctantly.

"Alright, since it’s an order, we’ll obey!"

Shen Qiuyue sighed and said resignedly.

"But if this Zhou Ze dares to drag us down or cause trouble, I won’t go easy on him!"

"Qiuyue, watch your attitude!"

Liu Na frowned, reminding her.

"Zhou Ze is from Galaxy Group, after all. You have to show him some respect!"

"I know, Commander!"

Shen Qiuyue replied perfunctorily, her tone still tinged with disdain.

Li Chang’an looked at his squad’s displeased expressions and sighed inwardly.

He knew his squad members didn’t have a good impression of people from Galaxy Group, especially Shen Qiuyue, who was filled with prejudice against these businessmen.

However, since it was an order from the Combat Group, they had to obey.

"Alright, don’t overthink it!"

Li Chang’an clapped his hands, drawing the squad’s attention.

"It doesn’t matter who Zhou Ze is. We just need to do our jobs. The most important part of this mission is to investigate the anomaly in the Kars Mine Area. Nothing else matters!"

"The Captain’s right!"

Sun Yang nodded, a smile returning to his face.

"Who cares if he’s some second or third-generation rich kid? As long as he doesn’t get in the way of our mission, he can do whatever he wants!"

"Exactly. The Insect Hunter Squad isn’t here to babysit some spoiled rich brat!"

Shen Qiuyue also snorted coldly, her tone full of pride.

Han Ruoxi didn’t speak, only nodding silently, a flicker of worry in her eyes.

Bai Lin remained taciturn, silently adjusting his Light Computer, seemingly preparing for the upcoming mission.

"Very good. Since everyone understands, prepare to depart!"

Liu Na said with satisfaction.

"The ship is ready and can depart at any time. Do you have any other questions?"

"No more questions, Commander!"

Li Chang’an shook his head and said calmly.

"We can depart at any time!"

"Good. I wish you a successful mission!"

Liu Na nodded and gave Li Chang’an and his squad a military salute.

"Depart, Insect Hunter Squad. I hope you bring back good news!"

"We will complete the mission!"

Li Chang’an saluted again, then turned and led his squad out of the command center.

The door slid slowly shut, and the figures of the Insect Hunter Squad disappeared down the corridor. Inside the command center, only Liu Na remained, standing silently before the holographic screen, her gaze complex as she looked at the Kars Mine Area on display.

"I hope nothing goes wrong with this mission..."

She murmured to herself, her voice laced with a hint of worry and an indescribable premonition.

The Insect Hunter Squad left the command center and walked down a corridor in the base.

The corridor was flanked by metal walls. The lighting was somewhat dim, but the floor was clean, reflecting the light.

"Seriously? We have to work with people from Galaxy Group? Just thinking about it is a pain!"

Shen Qiuyue grumbled, walking at the front of the group.

"Qiuyue, just drop it," Sun Yang said resignedly from behind her. "The Commander already told us to cooperate!"

"Cooperate? Hmph. I’m afraid it won’t be us cooperating with them, but us cleaning up their messes!"

Shen Qiuyue snorted, clearly holding no goodwill toward the people from Galaxy Group.

"Alright, Qiuyue, that’s enough!"

Li Chang’an, who was at the head of the team, stopped and turned to face her.

"The mission comes first. Put everything else aside for now!"

"I know, Captain!"

Seeing Li Chang’an’s stern expression, Shen Qiuyue reined herself in, nodded, and fell silent.

The squad continued on, soon arriving at the hangar.

A small transport ship was parked there, its hull painted with the insignia of the 42 Combat Group.

"This is it. The ’Hawke’!"

Li Chang’an said, pointing at the transport ship.

"Let’s go. Get on board and prep!"

The squad boarded the transport ship and entered the cabin.

The cabin’s interior wasn’t large, but it was fully equipped, with various instruments and buttons flashing with light.

Bai Lin immediately went to the bridge console and began checking the ship’s systems.

Han Ruoxi, on the other hand, looked around curiously, fascinated by all the equipment in the cabin.

Shen Qiuyue walked over to the weapons rack, took down her High-Energy Dueling Sword, and carefully inspected the blade, her gaze focused and serious.

Sun Yang, meanwhile, went over to Li Chang’an and said in a low voice.

"Captain, do you think that... what’s-his-name... Zhou Ze, will actually show up?"

"He should. The Commander said Galaxy Group is participating in this mission too,"

Li Chang’an replied calmly.

"Hmph. I’d like to see what this rich kid is really made of!"

Sun Yang pursed his lips, his tone dripping with contempt.

"Don’t underestimate people, Sun Yang,"

Li Chang’an said, glancing at him.

"For Galaxy Group to become a major interstellar corporation, they must have their strengths. Even if Zhou Ze is a spoiled brat, he might not be completely useless!"

"Captain, you’re just being too cautious!"

Sun Yang shook his head dismissively.

"What do those rich kids know besides how to spend money? Relying on them for help is like waiting for pigs to fly!"
