Chapter 1069: Checking on Baihu Once Again

Chapter 1069: Chapter 1069: Checking on Baihu Once Again

However, after thinking about it for a brief moment, she decided against being entirely useless. Instead, she wanted to go check on the well-being of her beloved contracted beasts.

With a simple shift of her thoughts, Bai Xifeng’s consciousness vanished from her room and entered the Mirror World.

The exact millisecond her spiritual body manifested inside the space, Baihu and Princess Huahua immediately sensed her familiar presence and hurried over from across the grassy plains to greet her.

Apparently, in his excitement, Baihu had completely and utterly forgotten the fact that he was no longer a tiny, weightless little tiger cub. The instant his golden eyes locked onto Bai Xifeng, he let out a happy chuff and enthusiastically pounced right toward her.

Fortunately for her spine, the massive, fluffy form of Princess Huahua happened to be standing directly behind Bai Xifeng.

Bai Xifeng was completely knocked backwards by the sheer force of the giant tiger’s love, landing directly on Princess Huahua’s incredibly soft and fluffy body. The thick, luxurious fur cushioned the sudden impact entirely, leaving her completely unhurt but slightly breathless.

Baihu froze instantly, realising what he had just done. He looked down at the sprawling Bai Xifeng with wide, panicked eyes. Then, his majestic expression gradually crumpled into sheer, childish panic.

"Xifeng... Xifeng... I am so sorry! I did not mean to crush you!" Baihu whined loudly, looking as though he was about to burst into giant tiger tears.

"No... No... No! Don’t cry, buddy! I am totally fine! Really, I am completely fine!" Bai Xifeng hurriedly said, waving both of her hands frantically to soothe his anxiety.

She immediately sat up, brushing off her robes. The absolute last thing she wanted right now was for a literal Beast King to start sobbing hysterically in front of her.

"Stop crying this instant. You have already undergone your tribulation and grown up. You can’t keep acting like a helpless child anymore." Xinghong’s elegant voice suddenly echoed as she glided over.

"Yes... Yes, Sister Xinghong..." Baihu immediately nodded obediently, quickly using a massive paw to wipe away the tears gathering in the corners of his eyes.

Even though Baihu had already been officially crowned as the supreme Beast King of the continent, he still listened to and obeyed Xinghong’s words without a single shred of defiance. To him, Xinghong had always been a comforting, maternal figure since his birth. Naturally, he respected her deeply and listened to her guidance.

"Next time, remember your own weight and don’t blindly pounce on Bai Xifeng anymore." Xinghong advised patiently, acting as the voice of reason. "You are physically much larger and heavier than her now."

"Yes, I understand." Baihu nodded his massive head again like a chastised, obedient child.

Bai Xifeng could not help but smile warmly at the heartwarming sight. Then, she remembered the core reason she had come inside the space in the first place.

"Baihu... Are you feeling entirely alright after the breakthrough?" Bai Xifeng asked, her voice laced with genuine worry. "Do you feel anything strange, painful, or uncomfortable anywhere in your body?"

"Nope! Everything seems perfectly fine and full of energy." Baihu replied honestly, stretching his massive front paws.

"I am incredibly glad to hear that." Bai Xifeng finally let out a sigh of relief, her shoulders relaxing. Then, she remembered something else she had instructed him to do.

"Anyway, have you gone to see Baishe yet?" Bai Xifeng asked, looking around the landscape.

She still vividly remembered telling Baihu to find Baishe as soon as possible to learn how to perfectly conceal and suppress his overwhelming Beast King’s aura. Otherwise, the very moment Baihu stepped outside into the real world with her, those greedy outside experts might immediately sense his presence from hundreds of miles away and begin ruthlessly hunting them down all over again, hoping to violently contract the newly crowned king for their own sects.

"I have. Uncle Baishe taught me several techniques. I have been practising them every day, but I still can’t master them completely." Baihu admitted, a look of sheepish embarrassment flitting across his massive, furry face.

Bai Xifeng almost burst into laughter when she heard Baihu refer to Baishe as "Uncle." Well, when she actually thought about it, the title suited him perfectly. After all, Baishe was literally thousands of years older than Baihu. If the young tiger cub were to call him "Brother" now, the family dynamics would feel incredibly strange.

She could not help but wonder what kind of expression Baishe would make if he knew Baihu had actually listened to her casual suggestion. Knowing him, he would probably maintain a completely stoic, expressionless face. Or perhaps, deep down in secret, his pride would be immensely pleased.

"Xifeng... Xifeng..." Baihu called out anxiously when he noticed Bai Xifeng staring blankly at him without saying a word. "Why are you not talking to me?"

As he spoke, Baihu gently nudged Bai Xifeng’s shoulder with his large, fluffy head, seeking her attention.

Bai Xifeng snapped out of her amusing thoughts and smiled warmly. She reached out and gently patted Baihu’s incredibly soft head, running her fingers through his thick fur.

"It’s alright." Bai Xifeng comforted him softly. "Take your time mastering those techniques. There is absolutely no need to force yourself. Some advanced beast techniques simply cannot be learned overnight."

"Hmm... I understand." Baihu nodded obediently, leaning into her touch.

Bai Xifeng examined Baihu carefully once more from head to tail, activating her internal senses. His breathing was deep and steady. The spiritual energy flowing around his meridians was stable and robust. His commanding Beast King’s aura had also become noticeably calmer and more refined than before. Other than his current inability to conceal his presence perfectly, everything appeared completely normal.
