Chapter 450: Repulsion
It seemed calling the elders was the only way left. Since Zhe Peng couldn’t see Sun Xiurong with Mo Xie, that meant she still hadn’t been caught by them and this was the only silver lining for them.
"Send a message to the sect..."
Zhe Peng used his spiritual sense to alert both disciples.
The woman disciple was already thinking about doing the same so she immediately took out a talisman and activated it while imbuing it with her message through her spiritual sense.
Mo Xie saw this and squinted his eyes slightly. He looked at the protector beside him and the protector nodded before bringing out his own talisman.
Mo Xie didn’t want to give up on Sun Xiurong now that he had a chance to get her, even if it meant deploying all their core strength here.
How could anyone let go of the chance of getting one of the top five most beautiful women in this world? Sun Xiurong would become his, no matter what.
Unknown to the two groups, Lin Feng and Sun Xiurong were already standing a few hundred meters away from them, listening to their conversation.
Lin Feng could already see the end of the forest from here. Not to mention, with Sun Xiurong’s sect mates here, if she wanted then she could walk out of the veil to meet them.
Of course, he wouldn’t remove his own veil. He didn’t trust any of these people. Not to mention, after hearing these people talk, he was certain that Sun Xiurong was very famous and also very important to the Mysterious Heaven Sect and that could create complications for him.
Lin Feng looked towards Sun Xiurong and saw that she didn’t seem relieved or happy seeing her sect mates. In fact, her expression was one of nonchalance as if she didn’t care about their presence.
This came as a slight surprise to him but whatever.
"You don’t want to go?" He used his spiritual sense to speak.
Sun Xiurong lowered her gaze and shook her head.
"Let’s leave..." she pointed in a specific direction. "There is a town nearby."
Lin Feng nodded. He wanted to finally get some knowledge about this world and that seemed like the perfect place to start.
Since they were a little far from the location and the attention of both groups was on each other, they didn’t have to worry about getting discovered.
They crossed the last trees and left the forest and according to Sun Xiurong, it was the border itself so they were now in Azure Province.
After walking for a few more minutes and leaving the vicinity of the two groups, Lin Feng removed the veil.
"Finally..." Sun Xiurong took a deep breath of relief. She looked towards Lin Feng and bowed again. "Thank you for your help, Immortal Lin."
Lin Feng gave a slight nod.
Sun Xiurong thought of something and became a little conflicted. She didn’t know if it was the right thing to do or not but since he had saved her life, she couldn’t just leave him like that. Not to mention she really was curious to know more about him and uncover the truth behind his battle sense. After all, how could a cultivator who was definitely a heaven defying alchemist develop a battle sense which most famous mighty experts weren’t able to do?
"Since you are new to this world, Immortal Lin, let me stay with you for some time and help you. Of course, if you don’t want that then give me a communication talisman so that I can repay you later for the pill since I don’t have enough spirit stones right now..."
Lin Feng was a little amused by her words.
"I don’t think anyone would mind spending time with you, Fairy Sun, or is it that you are oblivious to your own charms?"
When Sun Xiurong heard that, she sighed inwardly. She was well aware of that and this was the reason she hated interacting with men. In fact, she felt repulsed even staying close to them. They were too obvious with their intentions.
Maybe Lin Feng was similar to all other men but after everything that had happened till now, she wasn’t able to feel any kind of repulsion. Was it her curiosity towards him or was it the fact that he had saved her life that made her accept him, or maybe both? Well, she didn’t care. All that mattered now was that he was her benefactor and she didn’t really feel any kind of repulsion towards him.
Lin Feng shook his head when he saw her contemplating so deeply.
"Looking at your expression, I would say you know very well about your charm, Fairy Sun. Now let’s leave because I really don’t want to get entangled in some kind of mess when your sect elders arrive here."
Sun Xiurong smiled slightly and nodded. Since he didn’t tell her to leave his side, she would accompany him.
"Alright, let’s go to the town. I am sure the Town Lord is the one who sent the message to the sect about me chasing the devil cultivators... sigh, no matter how much I have made it known that I hate vigilance over me, they still find a way to do it."
Sun Xiurong spoke with a slightly annoyed tone and began flying towards the town.
"A genius disciple is very important to a sect so it’s only natural that they would keep an eye on you..." Lin Feng stated with a small smile and followed her.
He had gone through something similar. He was considered a top genius himself in his past.
While flying, Lin Feng noticed the region below him.
The whole area seemed like an ancient battlefield with many scars inflicted upon the earth from powerful blows.
"In ancient times, this place was prone to daily battles between righteous and evil factions..." Sun Xiurong saw his interest so she enlightened him.
"The righteous factions were stronger due to being in the majority but the devils didn’t hesitate to use forbidden arts so in the end it was just a massacre between righteous and evil factions.
Those who were wise didn’t like this situation as infighting only killed humans and the spirit beasts would have loved to see that..."
