Chapter 582 -590: He Is Afraid

Stella Sterling’s clothes were stained with a bit of blood.

‘What did she do in the short time she was gone? Her clothes were clean when she left.’

‘Or was she hurt?’

The two men watched her with concern.

Stella Sterling finally noticed her clothes were dirty. She frowned. “It’s nothing. I just went out and took care of some fools who didn’t know any better.”

She had been in a foul mood and had wanted to take a walk to calm down.

But as luck would have it, a group of idiots tried to start something with her. She was already in a bad mood, and they just served themselves up on a silver platter.

She’d told them to leave, but they refused.

So, Stella Sterling fulfilled their wish.

After blowing off some steam, she felt much better and headed back, not even noticing she’d been spattered with their blood.

She said to Andrew Shaw, “Wait for me here. You’re leaving with me in a bit. I’m going to go change first!”

With that, she vanished on the spot.

Stella Sterling had no intention of going out in clothes that were already dirty.

Watching Stella Sterling vanish again, the two men grew more concerned. Zane Xavier said, “You were right. Something’s definitely off with Miss Sterling.”

This sort of thing would never have happened with Miss Sterling in the past.

Even if she did get blood on herself by accident, she would have immediately changed into clean clothes.

‘If she suddenly loses it again later, won’t I be in incredible danger since I’ll be right next to her?’

‘Will she use me as a punching bag to vent her frustrations?’

At the thought, Andrew Shaw shuddered. Normally, having Stella Sterling around made him feel completely safe.

But right now, being near Stella Sterling felt like teetering on the edge of a cliff.

The thought made him want to refuse to go out with Stella Sterling, but he quickly realized he didn’t have the guts to do it.

‘She’s already in a bad mood. If I refuse now, it would be like I have a death wish.’

Seeing Andrew Shaw’s expression, Zane Xavier thought for a moment before patting his shoulder. “Relax. Miss Sterling isn’t like that. She’s fiercely loyal and values her friends. She’s very good to the people close to her!”

He hadn’t interacted with Miss Sterling much, but from the way she treated the members of the Three Tigers Corps and the friends around her, he could tell that beneath her cold exterior, she was actually a good friend.

As long as you didn’t cross her bottom line, of course.

‘I was just talking smack about her, and she suddenly appears right behind me. Did she hear what I said? Is she going to be mad?’

Zane Xavier turned around with a smile. “Miss Sterling, we just felt that you seemed a little off today and were a bit worried about you.”

Hearing this, the color drained from Andrew Shaw’s face. ‘What is wrong with him? How could he just say that out loud? Isn’t he afraid of making her angry?’

Zane Xavier, however, showed no signs of worry, simply looking at Stella Sterling with a sincere expression.

In his eyes, Miss Sterling was incredibly calm and rational. Even if something had made her seem off, she was fundamentally strong and wouldn’t let it affect her to the point of acting completely out of character.

Andrew Shaw, on the other hand, watched Stella Sterling with suspicion and uncertainty, his eyes darting back and forth.

‘If she gets upset right now and decides to attack us, how am I going to escape?’

But as it turned out, he had been overthinking it. After hearing Zane Xavier, Stella Sterling didn’t get angry at all, merely knitting her brows. “It’s nothing. I was just thinking about some things from the past, which put me in a bad mood. I’ve handled it now.”

At this, Stella Sterling frowned again. ‘It seems my bad mood was so obvious today that even these two could see it so easily.’

‘That’s something that never would have happened before.’

‘But my emotions have been all over the place today, and I’ve been uncontrollably irritable.’

‘It’s only natural they noticed. But I’ve got my emotions in check now.’

Thinking of this, Stella Sterling suddenly looked over at Andrew Shaw. She abruptly remembered that she seemed to have misspoken in front of him earlier.
