Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 708 - 600: Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms

Chapter 708: Chapter 600: Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms

The fusion of the two wizard civilizations is progressing quite smoothly.

The dueling arena operates from dawn till dusk, with the light of contracts almost never interrupted.

Wizards from the parallel world move with their families from those broken warships and settle into the temporary settlements built by the four major forces.

They received new magic robes, ate hot meals, and some started to accept basic knowledge reeducation.

The wizard civilization gained a batch of twins, while the wizards from the parallel world obtained more knowledge and resources. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

But not everyone was happy to see this.

Outside the dueling arena, within a secret chamber inside the war machine composed of chaotic plane fragments, over ten figures gathered silently.

They wore ragged magic robes commonly seen on wizards from the parallel world, with emaciated faces and deformed bodies, indistinguishable from those compatriots waiting in line for the contract.

But their eyes were different.

Those in line had eyes filled with anticipation, relief, and even the genuine acceptance of "true fragrance."

Yet, the eyes of these people held only anger suppressed to the extreme and a certain near-mad determination.

The leading wizard was almost indistinguishable from a human.

His lower half had completely fused with a crystalline inorganic structure, while the upper half barely retained a human outline, but foreign objects wriggled beneath the skin.

His name was Vald, a member of the Supreme Council of the parallel world, an Eighth Level Wizard.

On those broken warships, his orders determined the life or death of billions.

And now, he couldn’t even control his own fate.

"Everyone’s here." His voice was hoarse, like rusted iron scraping.

The surrounding figures nodded silently.

Vald’s gaze swept over these individuals; all present were members of the Supreme Council, former rulers atop this wizard civilization.

Each had ruled planes, commanded legions, and struggled for thousands of years in the battlefield of blood and fire.

Now they hid in shadows like rats, waiting to be paired, becoming someone’s twin "research assistant."

"We shed blood for this civilization." Vald’s voice lowered further, "We survived seven extinction wars, guarded the last refuge, and salvaged knowledge bit by bit from the ruins. Now they come, dressed glamorously, speaking of justice and morality, demanding us to sign contracts, be assistants, feel grateful."

He paused, a hint of ferocity flashing in his remaining human-shaped eye: "Why should we?"

No one responded.

It wasn’t because they disagreed but because they all knew the answer: power.

Power from the other side casually sending a delegation with four hundred peak Eighth Level, power from tens of thousands of Eighth Level wizards, power unseen from four colossal war machines, power from a civilization they could never reach...

Silence spread in shadow.

Vald withdrew his gaze: "So, I choose another path."

He raised his hand, revealing a dark red crystal in his palm.

Inside the crystal, a twisted light flickered slowly, like a beating heart.

The surrounding council members saw the crystal, their expressions changed.

Some instinctively retreated, others gripped their magic staffs, and still others visibly breathed faster.

"Space coordinates of the Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms." Vald said, "Extracted from a senior member of the alliance’s Sea of Spirit during the last war."

"Those natives have always wanted the coordinates of our core plane. Now, I can give them."

Silence lasted long.

A female council member spoke first, her voice slightly trembling: "You know what that side offers, if the wizard civilization perishes, we won’t have it easy."

"At least we wouldn’t need to sign that damned contract, unless you think your twin can truly be a good guy?" Vald’s cold smirk.

The scene fell silent once more.

They gathered here not just because their power was about to be taken but because of self-awareness.

Everyone knew themselves to be utterly unscrupulous; naturally, they wouldn’t trust their twins to be any better.

Then, one by one, they nodded.

Seeing this, Vald didn’t hesitate.

He crushed the crystal, dark red light exploding, transforming into myriad dense runes, weaving into a rotating portal before him.

On the other side of the portal lied darkness, dense enough to almost coagulate, with countless eyes opening within.

"Go."

Vald stepped into the portal first, followed by the council members filing in.

The Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms’ territory had no boundaries.

This colossus, composed of countless native civilizations, devoured one plane after another in the endless chaotic void.

With each devoured plane, a new member emerged, another army, another force.

Under the leadership of one Ninth Level Creature, the number of Eighth Level Creatures in the Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms was astonishing.

The council hall floated over the remnants of a plane thoroughly drained.

Every inch of space here was suffused with almost tangible malice.

Sitting beside the long table were hundreds of figures, each form varied.

Some beastmen were covered in scales, luminous entities made entirely of pure energy, soft-bodied beings with tentacles as their lower halves, and others nearly indistinguishable from humans.

They were the core of the Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms, the final beneficiaries after devouring countless civilizations. At this moment, they gazed at the newly appearing projection at the end of the long table.

Vald’s figure was somewhat blurry, but the madness and determination in his eyes projected clearly in front of every person across the distant void.

"You say you brought intelligence about another wizard civilization?" the beastman leader spoke, his voice like sandpaper grinding metal, "I didn’t expect you’d be so determined, already planning to sever ties with that civilization..."

"No." Vald’s voice was hoarse, "The other one I speak of is genuinely another wizard civilization. A more powerful, richer, and complete wizard civilization."

The atmosphere by the long table changed instantly.

Those initially lazy and indifferent figures simultaneously straightened their bodies.

The luminous entity’s brightness abruptly increased by one level, and the soft-bodied creatures’ tentacles began to squirm restlessly.

Vald wasted no words, laying out the intelligence of the four major forces one by one, presenting all the information he had gathered before them.

"You say this to let us retreat in the face of difficulty?" the beastman leader’s voice carried a trace of sarcasm.

"No." Vald’s gaze swept over every figure beside the long table, "I came to tell you that they are busy merging my civilization, all their attention focused on the dueling arena. Their defenses now are full of gaps."

Upon hearing these words, a stir arose at the conference table, figures by the long table exchanged in their own ways.

A few breaths later, the leader stood up: "Interesting, it has very conquering value..."

He looked up at the entire grand council: "Mobilize the army, we’re about to commence a new round of expedition!"

"Oh!!!"

Soon, the Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms’ army gathered with exaggerated speed.

The leader stood on the podium, countless soldiers silently stood in place, awaiting a pre-expedition oath.

"They call themselves wizard civilization. They loot planes, enslave beings, alter rules, and distort the order of the entire void into what they desire." The leader paused, "Now, they’ve found new prey."

"But we won’t let them succeed." The leader swept their gaze over those gathering armies, "The purpose of the Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms is to resist such tyranny. Every oppressed civilization has the right to survival, every polluted void has the right to return to purity. Today, we fight not just for ourselves..."

His voice suddenly heightened, booming throughout every fleet: "We fight for the justice of the entire endless chaotic void!"

Cheers surged like tides.

The twisted, bizarre, extraordinary figures simultaneously raised their weapons, emitting their respective races’ unique battle cries.

Hundreds of billions of voices converged, shaking the plane remnants until they trembled.

Vald stood within the projection, watching everything, a trace of ridicule flashing in his eyes.

Justice?

More than anyone, he knew that the so-called "justice" was merely an excuse for devouring.

Every time the Alliance of Ten Thousand Realms reached a plane, they drained everything there—resources, energy, life, soul, leaving nothing behind.

No civilization "liberated" by them had survived.

But he didn’t care.

As long as he could get rid of his twin!
