The Villain's Story

Chapter 964: King of Terra.

Chapter 964: King of Terra.

"The Earth weeps."

Alan raised his brows, confused at the words of the Terra King. He didn’t understand why it suddenly spoke of the Earth crying.

"Humanity has been a plague on the mother for far too long. It has wrought chaos for far longer than any demon. It has ruined the land, and mutilated the species present on the land.

They will not honor their promise. They never have."

The Terra King stated, as Alan felt the mana in the chamber stir, and materialize into a hammer half the size of the Terra King, floating beside him.

He released his mana, in order to pressure Alan and grabbed his hammer. Alan, in turn, released his mana. However, he was still aiming to settle this peacefully.

"The oath of a dragon will keep them in line. As long as I stand for you, they will never break the promise. Surely, you are aware of the value of the Life core, are you not? Will you let it be devoured by demons, who specialize in dealing with your kind?"

Alan extended his hand, and said.

"Come with me, King of Terra, and I will assure you and your race will find safety in human lands."

And that was it, Alan was certain the Terra King was now considering his words. The identity of a Dragon and his oath does hold a lot of power, after all. It should be clear to the Terra King, even if it wasn’t a full own spirit, it should still have some sort of reverence to dragons.

’Hah, on the mark...’

Alan rejoiced inwardly, seeing the grip of the Terra King loosen, and it’s facial expressions relax. How did he notice facial expressions on a being with hardly a face? Well, magical senses, and perhaps the memories of James kicking in.

Regardless, the oath of a Dragon held a lot of merit, and if Alan allowed it to be broken, he would be in trouble as well. However, with Valus watching over him, and having trained him to be a good ’heir’, he had to do this. He chose to be the ’heir’, so naturally, he had some responsibilities.

He still did like doing this, though. A part of it satisfied his childish fantasies, and it looked cool.

Alan smiled slightly, as he could read the mana around the Terra King, and was sure he would agree with a bit more, but then, something changed.

His eyes widened in surprise, and the Terra King tightened his grip on the Hammer, and charged at Alan, screaming.

"Die! False Being!"

Alan caught the hammer with one hand, and with the other, blocked a beam of energy released be the tree on the Terra King’s shoulder. His eyes full of confusion and dismay, he questioned.

’What the hell?’

There was nothing, but something had happened. All of Alan’s senses, related to mana, aura, and aether showed him that nothing had happened, but a certain part of him flared up, warning him of danger. The Terra King, seemingly agreeing to his proposal merely moments prior, had suddenly changed his mind.

And something within Alan had warned him about this change.

It was not deceit, The Terra King had not been playing along with his words, but he was genuinely going to agree, but something had happened during the last moment.

’What happened?’

Alan questioned, as he stepped back, gaining some distance from the Terra King. He activated [Dragon Eyes], but was unable to find anything wrong with him. The Terra King lunged at him, and swung the hammer at him. Alan stopped it with his left hand, and before the strange tree on the shoulder could fire another beam, he delivered an uppercut, sending the Terra King flying.

"Why did you refer to me as a False being?"

Alan questioned, as he came to a conclusion, one he would like to be proven wrong in, but a voice echoed in his mind, confirming it. Alan’s eyes opened wide, as a tinge of worry appeared.

[Indeed, It is the Creator.]

Valus’s voice echoed in Alan’s mind, as the mana in the atmosphere increased to a ludicrous amount. Alan, as unlikely as it seemed, heard the Life Core groan as more and more mana was pumped out of it, The Terra King seemingly absorb it all, golden streaks of lightning appearing in the air around it.

Alan activated [Dragon Eyes] once more

[Name: Terra King of Judgement.]

[Rank: SSS]

The rank of the elemental increased, and furthermore, it had gained an annoying affinity in the name. Valus’s voice echoed in his mind once more, explaining the change.

[The Creator has interfered, causing the Elemental to go berserk. The ’Judgement’ it has gained in the name is proof of an added ’Fate’ affinity. The Life Core is the same, it has been stimulated, providing enough power for the Elemental to increase in rank.]

Alan dodged numerous spears of thick stone being thrown at him, as he asked. He condensed aura in his hand, and sent in the form of a crescent slash towards the Elemental, which raised a barrier to block it.

The barrier was broken near instantly, and the slash attacked the Terra King, sending it flying, and leaving a nasty wound on it’s chest, which promptly healed.

’Why give it the affinity of fate?’

[To test your affinity of chaos. Chaos is known to be the direct opposite of fate, and the best chance at dealing with it. The Creator is aware you aren’t even close to Aranus in manipulating chaos, but wishes to see the extent of your abilities.]

A barrier appeared around Alan, conjured by his aura which promptly cut anything that dared get close to him. Alan studied the elemental in the distance, which seemed to be gathering up power for an attack and asked.

’...So, what do I do?’

He asked, although he was somewhat sure of the answer, it didn’t hurt to confirm. Valus’s voice echoed in his mind once more, admonishing him.

[What do you think? You eradicate it. If using your Chaos affinity is a must, do it.]

Alan smiled, as he watched the Terra King gather up even more power. A glowing orb of light materialized in the air above it, a spell of the ’Fate’ and ’Earth’ attribute.

’No need to use chaos, I can handle it anyways.’

He’d like to keep that a trump card for a more... serious situation. Alan chuckled, as he let the Elemental complete the spell. His aura flared up once more, and condensed around his legs. His eyes never left the Terra King of Judgement, even when the orb of light exploded.

An explosion of bright light was released from the orb, and it soon reached Alan. He could feel his body begun to petrified, and grow heavy. Alan smirked, and released the aura around his legs, basically teleporting over to the Terra King.

He hadn’t used Instantaneous teleportation, but pushed himself with his aura, gaining an intense amount of speed and momentum. He let his aura flare out his body, carrying it’s special property which promptly cut the light around his body, reducing the effects of the spell.

The spell aimed to petrify his body, but that was the effect related to the Earth element, Alan was unaware what Fate brought to it at the moment. Nevertheless, upon reaching the body of the Element, he condensed aura in his fist and punched.

The punch landed right in the stomach of the Terra King, blowing a hole straight through. Alan released the aura in the final moment, no longer needing the intended physical enhancement. The aura, still carrying the ’Sharpness’ quality, ravaged the Terra King further.

It was sent flying, as Alan used Dragon Eyes to analyze the spell that had been cast.

’... Luck alteration?’

The Fate aspect of the spell had something to do with luck, greatly increasing the luck of the Terra King, while making his own luck take a dive. It explained why his aura had done so little damage.

The Terra King, embedded in the walls of the chamber, coughed out in pain, as golden light appeared around his body once more.

He was changing the fate of being hit, although he couldn’t get rid of it completely, he could lessen the damage. At the same time, he was also regenerating the wound on his stomach.

Alan didn’t wait for him to regenerate, and charged at him once more. His speed, especially in this small area, was almost instantaneous, but the Terra King was able to react. At the final moment, it swung it’s hammer, sending Alan to the side.

Alan landed on his feet, surprised at the strength of the blow, but then again, he should have expected it. Earth and Metal provided the greatest physical enhancement mana could give.

Similarly, It could also take a lot of damage as well, evident by the Terra King standing up, the wound having healed.

It gripped it’s hammer once more, and now, a golden hue surrounded it, enhancing both the hardness and size of the damn thing. With a roar, the Terra King lunged at Alan, who finally got serious.

In terms of aura, of course.
