The Villain's Story

Chapter 965: King of Terra(2).

Chapter 965: King of Terra(2).

Now, while the King had been supercharged by the Creator and evolved into an SSS grade being, one had to remember it had just evolved, and through an unstable way as well.

No matter how almighty the Creator may have been, currently, he was sealed and in a pathetic state, incapable of severely influencing the world outside. An evolution like this had it’s demerits, and it was clear the Creator did not care much for it.

It was simply something he had done to get more information about Alan. A test of sorts that he really didn’t care about. The Terra Elemental was just an unfortunate victim, incapable of resisting.

The evolution is not a true evolution, only some parts of the Terra King have truly ascended to SSS-grade, while the rest are supplied by the struggling Life-Core. He had grown stronger indeed, but not as strong as he would have been if it was a normal evolution.

The addition of the Fate element had alleviated some of the burden, but it was far from enough, clear from the fact that Alan was comfortable using only aura to combat the Terra Elemental. Had it been a true SSS-rank, Alan would have to break his promise.

Regardless, the Fate element still kept him on edge. With a sigh, Alan released all of his aura, and like a thousand blades suddenly released and allowed to go rampant, a tide of sharpness engulfed the chamber, cutting everything.

Even the tough stone lining the chamber was affected, but this entire thing was only a smokescreen. The Terra King seemingly able to ignore it as well, jumped into the air with his mighty hammer empowered with Fate, Metal, and Earth energy.

He located Alan through the smokescreen quite easily, and a platform of Earth appeared beneath him, which he used to propel himself towards Alan with incredible speed, however, that was his mistake.

The sharp aura around the chamber died down, revealing Alan Peccator. The Terra King was still headed straight for him, but instead of attacking, it raised its hammer to defend itself.

Alan condensed aura in his hand once more, but this time, it was different than the usual crescent slashes he sent out, this one was far, far greater, akin to the one he used on the monster horde, but specialized for a single enemy.

The Terra King detected the sheer amount of power, and as Alan let out a heavy breath, he swung his arm forward, almost as if throwing a baseball.

Cleave!

The words echoed throughout the chamber, with far more power imbued in them than against the monster horde. For half a second, the world turned black and white, the only semblance of color being the ’Cleave’ Alan had sent out, tinged with the color of the cosmos.

An Astral Blue slash, sharp enough to cut anything that dared oppose it was released. The Hammer of the King offered it no reprieve, cut in half in an instant as the attack made it’s way through, to the body of the Terra King.

The Terra King materialized many barriers to stop it, all of the element of Metal, and even used a significant amount of mana to enhance his body to stop the ’Cleave’, but it was all for naught.

The attack cleaved through any protection and straight through the body of the Terra King, splitting him in half. It ascended even more, towards the ceiling of the chamber and exploded in a flurry of cuts, rending the tough rock. The ceiling was collapsing.

The Terra King, still reeling from the attack, barely managed to conjure a protective case of metal around the Life Core, and then moved on to regenerating his body. He was only halfway done through when his senses flared up once more, and Alan appeared in front of him, smiling from ear to ear.

"Damn, Nice regeneration factor!"

He complimented, as he grabbed the Terra King by the throat and kept ascending. The Terra King smashed through the falling rocks of the ceiling, and after a while of ascending, the light of the skies was revealed.

"I wonder how effective it’s going to be far from the damn source!"

Alan said, as he spun in midair and threw the Terra King even further up, towards the clouds. Alan had doubted the regeneration of the Terra King to be as potent as his own, and was surprised to see it be so... effective. After a short use of Dragon Eyes, he found out the reason for it.

The Terra King wasn’t using it’s own reserves to regenerate itself, rather forcing the Life-Core to provide the power instead. Using the [Fate] element, this was made easier than usual.

A string of Fate connected the Terra King and The Life-Core, allowing the transfer of energy to be possible. Alan could see the string even now, unfortunately, he was unable to cut it unless he used his Chaos Element.

However, another easy method to interrupt this exchange existed, and that was to simply increase the distance between the two. The Terra King would have to expend more resources to keep the string active, and the time it would take for the energy from the core to reach him from the string would be increased.

Any hope of maintaining the string, however, was erased the moment the Terra King went above the clouds, severing it completely. The distance between the two was simply too great. With a grunt, The Terra King had simply gotten all the power he could from the Life-Core before the string was severed.

This power, however, needed an outlet, as the King was unable to contain it within his own body. Appearing above the clouds, the King created a platform of mana and focused the energy towards his hammer, mending it, and making it even stronger, and of course...

Bigger.

A massive hammer made of metal, empowered with the golden glow of the fate element appeared in the skies, and split the clouds in an instant. It was like a small sun had surfaced, without the heat, of course.

"...What the hell?"

The humans on the outer edge of the Grand Canyon watched in awe, and fear as they slowly began to retreat, the elementals the same, afraid of the phenomenon happening in the skies.

"What is happening?!"

Howard questioned through the communication line, it was intended for Amanda, who had no damn clue as to what was happening. All she could say, along with all the other leaders was to retreat as far as possible.

Until a voice echoed in the minds of all, far too calm considering he was both the cause and the victim of the massive hammer in the sky.

[Relax, I got this.]

Just in time, the world flashed blue, as Alan rose into the air, intending to combat the giant hammer in the skies. In his hand was his beloved forked spear, the Ame-No-Sakahoko, which brimmed with a power it was unfamiliar with, the power of Aura.

Alan took a stance mid-air, it was a familiar one, one that was the signal of calamity. Spear raised overhead. With his face towards the large hammer in the sky, and back towards the canyon below, Alan overloaded the Ame-No-Sakahoko with Aura and performed his most powerful technique.

Abyssal Rend.

Not supplied with mana, and thus, bereft of the concepts of elements and whatnot, instead supplied with aura, that had only a single conceptual power at it’s core.

Supreme Power. The greatest teaching of the God Beasts, that Supreme Power transcended all elemental affinities and concepts. The Ame-No-Sakahoko groaned as the world lost all color, and a crescent slash left the spear, growing to the size of a building. The Golden Hammer in the sky was not a match for it, and Supreme Power of aura trumped the elements of Metal, Fate, and Earth as it destroyed the entire hammer, so much so that not even a single fragment of it remained.

However, all the Abyssal Rend had managed to do was trump the Golden Hammer. The Terra King still lived, although his body numb from the impact.

"Fal-"

It tried to say something but failed, as the Terra King turned around, facing the endless sky above. There, stood a single being, the same that had shattered it’s mighty hammer.

"Impo-"

It tried to say something again, but a spear filled with aura dug itself deep into his chest. The man had thrown it with such inconceivable power that the Terra King fell like a comet towards his chamber.

The spear struck the ground of the chamber, embedding itself deep within. The Terra King, now fallen, impaled on the spear, twitched it’s fingers for but a single moment, before all activity ceased.

It had died, evident of it’s body slowly disappearing into golden dust that materialized into a small seed on the ground. Alan appeared shortly after, gasping for breath.

"Ha... Used a bit too much aura right there..."

He said, as he plopped down on the ground.
