Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 2483 - 2386: I’m Just Messing with You

Chapter 2483: Chapter 2386: I’m Just Messing with You

That guy they called Brother Hao looked arrogant as hell. "What I do is none of your business, but if you piss him off, kid, you must be tired of living."

Wu Jun put on a scared expression, and when Brother Hao saw it he got even more pleased with himself, and barked at the little punks beside him:

"See? Our Brother De still works like a charm. As long as you drop Brother De’s name, there’s nobody who isn’t scared."

The gang of hoodlums all agreed wholeheartedly, nodding over and over, chests puffed out, heads held high, looking proud as if being able to latch onto Brother De gave them glory.

Wu Jun never imagined they’d be this stupid, that they couldn’t tell he was just pretending.

Over there, Huo Sining saw Wu Jun clowning around and then looked at the gangsters’ reactions; she really couldn’t hold it in, her shoulders started shaking and finally she burst out laughing.

Brother Hao’s face sank, and the look he shot Huo Sining carried killing intent:

"You dumb bitch, what’re you laughing at?!"

Huo Sining shrugged and said cheerfully, "You’ve been yapping all this time, and we still don’t know who this Brother De is. We don’t even know if he looks like a monkey or a pig-head, what are we supposed to be scared of? And you want us to sit here and take whatever you dish out? I think either a door slammed on your brain, or you got kicked stupid by a donkey, huh?"

Wu Jun on the side was also forcing his laughter down, chiming along with Huo Sining:

"Definitely a door. This is Yun Province—only cows here, nobody raises donkeys!"

Huo Sining nodded at that, quite approving: "Mm, makes sense..."

Brother Hao’s face instantly turned extremely ugly. Even he wasn’t so dumb that he couldn’t hear something wrong in their words. His eyes looked about ready to spit fire as he glared at Huo Sining and Wu Jun, teeth grinding:

"Goddammit, you two playing me?"

Huo Sining grinned, bright and sincere: "Yeah, we’re playing you. You only just figured that out?"

"Fuck your mother!" Now Brother Hao completely exploded. He jerked his head and shouted at the punks next to him:

"Are you all fucking retards? Get the hell in there! Beat him to death for me! If he dies it’s on me—Brother De’s got us covered, nothing’s gonna happen!"

It’d been a long time since Wu Jun had used his fists, and he’d been fretting for a place to stretch his muscles. Now that this bunch came delivering themselves to his door for practice, there was no way he’d pass up this great chance.

His face didn’t change; he just looked provocatively at Brother Hao:

"Too damn weak. Just a few of you, and you think you can kill me? Hey, let’s not waste time—why don’t you all come at once?"

Brother Hao was so pissed by Wu Jun’s laid-back attitude that smoke was practically coming out of his ears, and on top of that a bunch of his men had already been taken out, especially Old Snake, his most capable right-hand, who’d been dealt with just like that. Wu Jun clearly didn’t even take him seriously. How could Brother Hao swallow that? He grabbed a steel pipe and was the first to charge at Wu Jun.

Seeing this, Wu Ya’s face changed drastically, and she instinctively moved to rush up and help.

Huo Sining saw and quickly grabbed the little girl’s arm, blocking her:

"Don’t. You’ll just drag your brother down. We’ll just watch from back here. They’re just a few little shrimps, not even enough for your brother to really show his stuff. Don’t worry."

These years, Wu Ya had been well protected by Wu Jun. She’d never seen a scene like this, and she’d never watched her brother fight before, so she was totally unsure:

"But... can he win?"

Huo Sining chuckled: "Listen to yourself. You don’t trust your brother’s skills? Just drop that question mark at the end and you’ll be right."

While these two bystanders were chatting away, Brother Hao had already charged in with his men, and Wu Jun’s expression went cold as he stepped up to meet them.

In that split second when Brother Hao rushed in at the front, he only felt a black blur flash before his eyes. He didn’t even have time to react before he heard a crisp crack. The next instant, a wave of searing pain hit him—his right arm had been twisted off by sheer brute force, and the steel pipe he’d been holding clanged to the ground.

Then his ears were filled with waves of screams and wails. When he finally came back to his senses, all he saw on the ground were his boys sprawled everywhere. Of more than twenty people, in less than ten minutes, three-quarters had already been laid out.

The ones left standing still had weapons in their hands, but their knees were so weak they could barely stand up straight. Their limbs trembled, and as they stared at the man standing ramrod straight in the center, terror burned in every pair of eyes.

Of course, Wu Jun wasn’t totally unscathed. These guys all had weapons, after all, so he’d taken a few hits, his clothes were torn in places, and several spots on his body had surface wounds.

But to Wu Jun, who’d gone through countless drills in the army, these injuries didn’t even register; he didn’t care in the slightest.

He cast a faint glance at the few little punks still standing, then lifted his foot and walked over to Brother Hao, whose arm had been broken.

He had only just taken a step when Brother Hao’s face changed instantly. He was so scared his face turned green, and he dropped to his knees with a thud, sprawling on the ground, his voice shaking as he shouted:

"Bro, don’t... don’t come over here. I... I was wrong. I’ll kowtow and admit it, I beg you, please show mercy and spare me!"

Disgust flashed thick in Wu Jun’s eyes:

"Who the hell is your ’bro’? You think you’re worthy of being my brother?!"

Brother Hao immediately changed his wording:

"Right, right, right, a little nobody like me could never be your brother. My mouth’s cheap, I spoke wrong. Boss, I was wrong. I just... I couldn’t see Mount Tai right in front of me, didn’t recognize who you were. My eyes are shit. Please, don’t hold a small fry’s screw-up against him, spare me this once!"

Wu Jun had never had any patience for bullies who only pick on the weak. Seeing Brother Hao completely lacking even a shred of manly backbone, he naturally felt nothing but contempt:

"People like you only know how to act tough in front of ordinary folks. You only ever pick soft targets. If I didn’t have some skills today, if I couldn’t trade a few blows with you lot and you really managed to get control of me, would you be sparing me right now?"

Anyone could see what he meant: if Wu Jun hadn’t gotten the upper hand on this bunch, there’s no way he’d be standing here safe and sound. He’d probably have been tortured half to death by them already.

Brother Hao instantly shut up. Him and his lot were the vengeful type, and right now they were only being suppressed by Wu Jun, so they were following the principle that a smart man doesn’t suffer the loss in front of him, and dropped to their knees to beg for mercy.

If this bunch ever got a chance to catch their breath, they’d definitely come back to settle the score, doing whatever it took to wipe out the shame of today and avenge that broken arm!

Wu Jun knew their mindset all too well, but he really didn’t take these grunts seriously. His real target was the mastermind behind this tea garden mess—the guy they called Brother De.

As for this gang of punks, they were just Brother De’s hired muscle. Even if he crippled them all, it wouldn’t mean much.
