Sorry, Our Captain Is a True All-Rounder

Chapter 218: Moving in the Right Direction

The five people standing by were speechless as they watched Huang Bo Lin cry nonstop.

Was this really the same cold, ruthless Huang Bo Lin they knew, a man who killed without batting an eye?

Right now, he looked like a complete crybaby.

‘Is he really that happy to see his wife? So happy he’s crying?’

Su Wen looked at him, then reached up and ruffled his hair. Because she had been so well cared for, her limbs showed no signs of atrophy.

“Don’t cry.”

“I’m here.”

Seeing the couple’s reunion, the five of them didn’t have the heart to disturb them and filed out of the room to wait.

With only the two of them left in the room, Su Wen gazed at his face. She reached out to trace the wrinkles at the corners of Huang Bo Lin’s eyes. “You know,” she said, “all those years, I could hear everything you said to me.”

“And I know about all the things you did.”

At her words, Huang Bo Lin’s tears stopped instantly. The way he looked at Su Wen changed completely.

He became flustered, and his words started to catch in his throat.

“Honey, I… You… It’s not what you think.”

Huang Bo Lin scrambled to explain, but the words died on his lips.

Finally, he lowered his head. “I’ve done a lot of terrible things.”

“But you can’t hate me for it. Those people… they were just too evil. I had to destroy them.”

Su Wen reached out, pulling him into her arms. Her voice was gentle. “I don’t blame you. But there’s a price for what you’ve done, and we can bear it together.”

“I know you did it to avenge me.”

Hearing that Su Wen wanted to face the consequences with him, Huang Bo Lin, though deeply moved, sobered instantly.

“Honey, a man answers for his own deeds. I don’t need you to bear this with me.” Huang Bo Lin refused. He could accept the charges against him, even death by a thousand cuts, but Su Wen could not die with him.

He wouldn’t allow it.

“Didn’t you always say we were one and the same? Besides, you only made these mistakes because of me,” Su Wen argued. “I can’t let you die all by yourself.”

“I refuse!” Huang Bo Lin’s expression turned grim, his gaze darkening as he looked at Su Wen with severe earnestness. “You *must* live!”

“What about our daughter?” Su Wen asked. “Can you bear to watch her live all alone?”

“She’s a grown woman now. She can take care of herself.” Su Wen still wanted to die with Huang Bo Lin.

If Feng He, waiting outside, knew that the person she’d spent so much of her spiritual power to save was now dead set on dying with her husband, she would have stormed in and slapped her twice across the face.

She hadn’t saved the woman just so she could throw her life away.

The two of them spoke for a long time. Finally, after receiving a message from Captain Li, Lin Jingjing and the others pushed the door open and entered.

The couple, who had been embracing, immediately separated when they saw the group. Huang Bo Lin stood up, fiddled with his Star Ring for a moment, and then looked at Feng He. “Give me your account number.”

Feng He gave him the account details without hesitation. Huang Bo Lin didn’t waste any time either, directly transferring two hundred billion Star Coins into her account.

Feng He glanced at the number. The more she stared at it, the less it seemed right.

Finally, her eyes widened in disbelief. “Two hundred billion Star Coins!?” Feng He exclaimed.

Hearing this, the other four immediately crowded around to see.

Mo Xuan grabbed her arm and carefully counted the zeroes. When he realized it was real, his face was also a mask of shock.

“He’s that rich?”

‘Two hundred billion Star Coins just like that,’ they thought. ‘Truly the richest man in the galaxy.’

“I need to ask a favor,” Huang Bo Lin said, looking at them. “When you leave, please help my wife register for a new identity.”

“As payment, I’ll also give each of you a storefront on the Capital Star.”

‘Tsk, the man’s obscenely wealthy.’

‘A storefront on the Capital Star? That’s even more valuable.’

“Could I get a house instead?” Shi Feng was already negotiating.

“Yes,” Huang Bo Lin nodded.

Lin Jingjing glanced at the woman on the bed. Her eyes were red, as if she had just been crying.

“I’m counting on you.”

As they were leading Su Wen from the room, the spiritual-power-suppressing cuffs on Huang Bo Lin suddenly dropped away.

He then used his spiritual power to shove all of them out of the room, sealing himself inside.

“Bo Lin!” Su Wen cried out as she watched, tears spilling uncontrollably from her eyes.

“Take her and go!” Huang Bo Lin’s voice came through the blue screen from inside the room. “I’ll answer for my own sins.”

“She has nothing to do with this.”

Huang Bo Lin watched Su Wen’s beautiful, tear-streaked face on the screen, his own eyes filled with sorrowful reluctance.

He reached out, as if to caress her image on the screen, and gave a faint smile. “Sister Su, I love you.”

With those final words, Huang Bo Lin cut the feed. He walked to the bed and lay down, tenderly caressing the necklace and ring Su Wen had given him long ago.

The group outside banged on the door, yelling, “Huang Bo Lin, get out here! Are you trying to escape your sentence?”

“Get out here!”

But the man inside didn’t respond. Beside them, Su Wen sobbed, her face buried in her hands.

At last, Su Wen wiped her tears with the back of her hand. “Let’s go,” she said, her voice choked with grief. “He’s already armed the bombs in here.”

“He’s planning to die in here.”

The five of them fell silent. ‘He’s really planning to die in here?’

Lin Jingjing glanced at the heavy metal door, then said, “Let’s go.”

The six of them departed. Ten minutes later, a massive explosion erupted behind them.

Lin Jingjing immediately threw up a Protective Shield, enveloping everyone around her.

The explosions continued for a long time. The onlookers could only sigh.

Su Wen, still not fully recovered, collapsed into sobs knowing Huang Bo Lin had died inside.

Feng He stood beside her, patting her shoulder comfortingly. “It’s okay. He’ll always be with you.”

“I know.”

—

The battle raged for three days before finally coming to an end. Once Blue Star had been swept and declared clear of monsters, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.

As for Huang Bo Lin’s followers, upon learning of his death, they followed him without hesitation.

Meanwhile, Luo Zhuo was captured. He was considered an extremely dangerous individual.

A commander-level officer was assigned to personally oversee his detention.

With that, the entire incident finally came to a close.

The criminals were all sent to be incarcerated in the Empire’s most secure and formidable prison.

The warden there looked at the new arrivals and sneered. “Take them inside.”

The time they spent waiting for their sentences would be the most grueling days of their lives.

Luo Zhuo was a different case. He had a great deal of valuable information stored in his mind, and Lin Jingjing ultimately took custody of him.

Through his own diligent efforts, Xiang Heng also successfully developed a potion that could counteract the “hidden blood.”

Everything was finally starting to look up.
