Chapter 1268:- Andris Dragon of Physical Dominance

Chapter 1268: Chapter 1268:- Andris, Dragon of Physical Dominance

While Aditya was busy killing the retreating soldiers of the Emperor Faction, he suddenly sensed a powerful presence approaching him from a distance. This presence was completely different from those of the ordinary soldiers and Sixth Order cultivators he had encountered earlier. The amount of mana coming from this person was much greater, and Aditya immediately understood that a Seventh Order cultivator had finally appeared.

Aditya stopped attacking the retreating soldiers and slowly raised his head toward the sky. By this point, he had already killed close to one hundred and fifteen thousand enemy soldiers using Raiketsu and its abilities.

However, Aditya was no longer interested in continuing his slaughter of the ordinary soldiers.

After all, compared to a Seventh Order cultivator, these soldiers were nothing more than small fish. And now that a much bigger fish had finally appeared, Aditya naturally wanted to focus his attention on him.

Aditya calmly looked toward the approaching figure. Although the man was still some distance away, Aditya could already see his appearance clearly.

The man had long black hair that fell past his shoulders. His skin was unusually pale, making the two hideous scars on his face stand out even more. Both scars ran diagonally across his face, giving him a rather frightening appearance. From the way the scars looked, it was clear that he had suffered some serious injuries in the past.

Despite his pale skin, the man had a tall and athletic build. His body did not appear overly muscular, but his broad shoulders and strong frame suggested that he possessed considerable physical strength.

He was wearing ordinary clothes beneath a long black cloak. The cloak covered most of his body, making it difficult to see exactly what he was wearing underneath. His appearance was rather simple, especially when compared to the expensive armor and clothing worn by many powerful cultivators.

However, Aditya knew better than to judge someone based on their clothing. After all, the man approaching him was a Seventh Order cultivator. And more importantly, Aditya already had a good idea of who this person was.

Before the civil war began, Boris and Malakor Harrington had shared a great deal of important information with him about the most powerful cultivators serving the Celestial Dragon Empire.

These thirteen individuals were some of the most powerful cultivators associated with the Empire. Each possessed great strength, and their existence was one of the main reasons why the Celestial Dragon Empire had been able to maintain its position as the strongest empire on the Main Continent for so many years.

Naturally, Aditya had wanted to learn as much as possible about these individuals before going to war against Ren.

Fortunately, both Boris and Malakor were familiar with them.

Although they could not provide every detail about the abilities and fighting techniques of all thirteen individuals, they had given Aditya enough information to recognize most of them. This included their names, appearances, cultivation levels, and the abilities for which they were best known.

Aditya had carefully remembered this information because he knew that there was a good chance he would eventually encounter some of these powerful cultivators during the civil war. And now, it seemed that one of them had finally come looking for him.

Aditya narrowed his eyes slightly as he examined the two diagonal scars on the man’s face.

Those scars were particularly important because they were one of the most noticeable features mentioned in the description Boris and Malakor had given him. Combined with the man’s long black hair, pale skin, and tall build, Aditya was almost certain of his identity.

’So, it’s him.’ Aditya thought to himself.

The man approaching him was none other than Andris, one of the Thirteen National Treasures of the Celestial Dragon Empire. Unlike many powerful cultivators who relied heavily on elemental attacks, magical techniques, or special weapons, Andris was best known for his overwhelming physical strength.

His fighting style was extremely brutal, and he had earned a terrifying reputation because of the enormous power he could release through his body alone.

According to the information Aditya had received, Andris was the kind of cultivator who preferred fighting his enemies directly rather than attacking them from a distance. His physical strength was his greatest advantage, and he was particularly dangerous in close combat.

This was also one of the main reasons why he had earned the title of the Dragon of Physical Dominance.

Aditya found this rather interesting. After all, he himself possessed an extremely powerful physique, and his physical strength was far greater than that of an ordinary cultivator at the same cultivation level.

Now, a Seventh Order cultivator who was famous for his physical strength had appeared directly before him. Aditya tightened his grip around Raiketsu while keeping his eyes on the approaching man.

He had already expected that Ren would eventually send someone powerful to deal with him. After everything he had done to the Emperor Faction’s army, it would have been strange if Ren had simply allowed him to continue killing his soldiers without doing anything.

However, Aditya had not expected the person sent to stop him to be Andris. Among all the 13 National Treasures, Aditya had some interactions with this man in the past before.

"Your Royal Highness, it has been a while since I last saw you." These were the first words Andris spoke when Aditya flew up to him.

Hearing this familiar way of addressing him, Aditya nodded his head with a small smile. It had indeed been many years since the two had last met. Back then, Aditya was still the Crown Prince of the Celestial Dragon Empire, while Andris was already one of the Thirteen National Treasures.

Unlike some of the other National Treasures, Andris was not a complete stranger to Aditya. In fact, when Aditya was still a child, the two had met and spent time together on several occasions.

Aditya still remembered playing with Andris when he was young. Despite his frightening appearance and the two large scars on his face, Andris had always treated the young Crown Prince rather kindly. Sometimes, he would even entertain Aditya by showing him small demonstrations of his physical strength.

There had even been discussions about making Andris Aditya’s personal teacher.

At that time, everyone had expected Aditya to awaken his Dragon Bloodline and eventually begin his cultivation journey. Considering Andris’s enormous physical strength and his reputation as the Dragon of Physical Dominance, many believed that he would be a suitable teacher for the young Crown Prince.

However, things did not turn out as everyone had expected. Aditya failed to awaken his Dragon Bloodline and continued living as an ordinary human. As a result, the discussions about making Andris his teacher gradually came to an end.

But surprisingly, Andris had still been willing to accept Aditya as his disciple. Even after learning that Aditya had failed to awaken his bloodline, Andris had shown interest in teaching him. He had even expressed his willingness to help Aditya find another way to begin cultivating.

However, the arrangement never happened because Alen and Elena had refused to allow it. Back then, Aditya had been too young to understand why his parents were against the idea. From his perspective, Andris was a powerful cultivator who had always treated him kindly. Having someone like him as a teacher seemed like a wonderful opportunity.

But now that Aditya had grown older and experienced so many things, he could finally understand what his younger self had failed to notice. After thinking about everything that had happened in the past and connecting all the pieces together, the answer became very clear.

Andris was a man who was driven by his desire for power and status. Although he was already one of the Thirteen National Treasures of the Celestial Dragon Empire, that position alone was not enough to satisfy his ambitions.

Andris wanted more. He wanted greater influence, higher status, and more recognition from the powerful figures of the Empire. And becoming the personal teacher of the Crown Prince would have given him exactly that.

After all, Aditya had been the official heir to the throne. Even if he had failed to awaken his Dragon Bloodline, he was still the Crown Prince at that time. If Andris had successfully become his teacher, his position within the Empire would have immediately improved.

He would no longer be known simply as one of the Thirteen National Treasures. Instead, people would recognise him as the National Treasure who was also the personal teacher of the future Emperor.

That title alone would have given him a special position among the other National Treasures. Even those who were stronger than him would have been forced to acknowledge his connection to the Imperial Family.

Furthermore, if Aditya had eventually inherited the throne, Andris would have become the teacher of the Emperor himself. The influence and benefits that came with such a position were simply enormous.

Andris had clearly understood this opportunity. Unfortunately for him, Alen and Elena had also understood his intentions. They had recognised that his desire to become Aditya’s teacher was not entirely motivated by kindness or a genuine wish to help their son. His personal ambitions were also an important part of his decision.
