Chapter 1289:- Scolding and Lectures

Chapter 1289: Chapter 1289:- Scolding and Lectures

However, before either of them could ask another question, Athena continued. "And while he was inside the palace, Aditya managed to find both of your physical bodies. He rescued both of you and successfully escaped from the Imperial Royal Palace."

For a moment, neither Alen nor Elena said anything. They simply stared at Athena. It was almost as if they were having difficulty understanding what she had just told them.

Alen was the first to recover. "Wait a moment. Are you saying that Aditya managed to rescue our physical bodies from the Imperial Royal Palace?"

"That’s correct."

"Right now, both of your physical bodies are safely staying in Axel City. Waheed and his two wives are personally taking care of you and keeping watch over your bodies. So there’s no longer any need to worry about Ren bringing you to the battlefield or using your bodies against Aditya."

Hearing this, Elena slowly turned her head toward her son. "Aditya... is that true?"

Aditya smiled and nodded. "Yes, Mother. Both of you are safe now."

For several seconds, Elena simply stared at him. Then, her eyes slowly began filling with tears. She had never expected to hear such wonderful news. For so long, she and Alen had been worried that Ren might use their physical bodies to threaten Aditya.

They knew that Ren was capable of using almost any method to protect his position on the throne. And because their physical bodies were still under his control, there was always the possibility that he might use them against their own son. This was something that had been worrying Elena ever since she learned about the coming war.

In fact, she had already prepared herself for the possibility that she might have to sacrifice her life to prevent Ren from using her against Aditya. More than that, what heavily weighed on her was her husband’s minds is the fact they were forcing their child to do this.

However, now she was being told that there was no longer any need for such a sacrifice. Their physical bodies had already been rescued. They were no longer prisoners inside the Imperial Royal Palace. And most importantly, Ren could no longer use them to force Aditya into making a difficult decision.

"Thank goodness..." Elena whispered. She slowly lowered her head as tears began falling from her eyes. For the first time in a very long time, she felt as though an enormous weight had been lifted from her heart.

Although she was still worried about the war, knowing that her son would no longer be forced to choose between saving his parents and defeating Ren brought her an enormous amount of relief.

Aditya gently squeezed her hand. However, before he could say anything else, Elena suddenly pulled him into another tight hug. "My child... thank you."

Her voice trembled slightly. "Thank you so much."

Aditya smiled and gently hugged her back. "There’s no need to thank me, Mother. You’re my parents. Of course I was going to save you."

Hearing this, Elena hugged him even more tightly. She had spent so many years away from her son. Aditya had not only grown into an extremely powerful cultivator, but he had also managed to rescue both of his parents from Ren’s control.

For Elena, this was something she had dreamed about for a very long time. Meanwhile, Alen remained silent as he looked at his son. Although he was not crying like his wife, the relief he felt was no less than hers. As the former Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, Alen understood exactly how dangerous Aditya’s actions had been.

He knew the Imperial Royal Palace better than almost anyone. He knew how difficult it was to enter that place without permission, and he also understood how dangerous it would be for someone like Aditya to attempt such a mission.

Yet his son had managed to accomplish it. More importantly, he had done so without allowing Ren to stop him.

Alen slowly let out a long breath. "You’ve really done something incredible."

He then placed one hand on Aditya’s shoulder. "I don’t think you understand just how much this means to us."

"Thank you, my son."

"Father, you don’t need to thank me either. I only did what any son would do for his parents."

Hearing this, Alen could not help but smile even more. Although Aditya spoke as though rescuing them had been something simple, Alen knew that very few people would have been capable of accomplishing such a dangerous mission.

He was extremely proud of his son. However, that feeling of pride did not last very long before another emotion began appearing in his heart.

Alen suddenly remembered something important. "Wait a moment."

"What is it, father?"

Alen frowned.

"You said you entered the Imperial Royal Palace to rescue us?" Aditya nodded his head looking confused.

"Aditya, do you have any idea how reckless that was?" Hearing this, Aditya’s smile became slightly awkward.

Meanwhile, Elena slowly released her hug. She also looked toward her son. "Your father is right."

Her earlier happiness had not disappeared, but now that she knew her son had placed himself in such danger, she could not help but become worried again.

"Aditya, what were you thinking?" Elena asked in a scolding tone.

"Mother, I had a plan. It was a very well-crafted, detailed plan." Aditya replied calmly.

However, Elena immediately shook her head. I know you had a plan. But what if something had gone wrong? What if Ren had discovered that you were inside the palace? What if the guards had surrounded you before you could escape?"

"What if you had been captured?. Or worse, what if they had killed you?"

Hearing this, Aditya did not immediately answer. "Do you think your father and I would have been happy if you had died while trying to rescue us?"

"Of course not, Mother."

"Then why would you take such a dangerous risk?"

Aditya could only smile helplessly.

He understood why his mother was worried. However, he also knew that if he had been given another opportunity to make the same decision, he would still have chosen to rescue them. After all, he could not simply leave his parents under Ren’s control while preparing to fight a war against him.

But Aditya had no intention of saying that aloud. He could already tell that his parents were not in the mood to listen to his explanation. Unfortunately for him, the girls had no intention of remaining silent either.

"Honestly, Mother, Father, I think both of you should give him a proper lecture." Freya suddenly said.

Hearing this, Aditya immediately turned toward her. He almost wondered why she was adding more fuel to the fire. He was already getting scolded by his parents and now the girls were adding more stuff.

Freya innocently smiled and continued. "What? I’m only telling the truth. You have no idea how reckless this man can be."

"What do you mean?" Elena asked while looking puzzled.

"Even today, he nearly got himself killed on the battlefield. After killing an enormous number of enemy soldiers, he decided to fight Andris."

Hearing that name, Alen’s expression immediately changed. Of course, Alen knew who Andris was and what that man was capable of doing. Even Alen himself was unsure if he could defeat that brute in a battle.

Alen immediately turned toward his son. "Aditya, is that true?"

Aditya scratched his cheek. "Well..."

Before he could finish speaking, Lilith suddenly joined the conversation.

"And that’s not even the worst part. He decided to fight Andris all by himself. Even though his grandfather and several other Seventh Order cultivators were present, he still wanted to fight Andris alone."

Before his father could begin scolding him, Athena stepped forward. "Actually, there’s something even more worrying about that battle."

"During the battle, Aditya realized that Andris was much stronger than him in terms of physical strength."

Athena briefly explained how the battle had progressed. She told them how Aditya had fought against Andris and how he had eventually been struck by several extremely powerful attacks. "By the end of those attacks, almost every bone in Aditya’s body had suffered some form of injury."

Hearing this, Elena’s expression immediately became pale. "His arms, legs, and ribs were all seriously injured."

Alen immediately looked toward Aditya. "Is that true?"

Aditya smiled awkwardly. "Well, I have already started recovering."

"That’s not what I asked!" Alen replied.

For a moment, Aditya did not know what to say.

Meanwhile, Athena continued. "And despite being in such a terrible condition, he still waited for Andris to approach him so that he could carry out his plan."

Athena explained how Aditya had secretly prepared several hidden attacks using Raiketsu’s Wind Scar ability. She then told them how he had waited until Andris was about to deliver the final attack before activating those hidden attacks to distract him.

"And during that brief moment when Andris was distracted, Aditya used teleportation to appear behind him and stab him through the heart."

Feeling two angry stares trying to eat him from both sides, Aditya really wanted to leave the spiritual world. Unfortunately for him, he could not leave. Now he had no choice but to sit through their lectures and scoldings.
