Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 2238: Creating a Trump Card for Lu Dongli

Chapter 2238: Creating a Trump Card for Lu Dongli

Having succeeded in learning about the Star Shattering Sect without running into any problems in the process, Su Han was more than happy to leave things at that and return back to the Western Central Region without any further interactions with the Star Shattering Sect nor Xuan Hao whom he had ended up having a short conversation with.

So, as Xuan Hao discreetly kept an eye on Su Han as he left in the direction of the Western Central Region, there was no sign of the other party slowing down nor contacting anyone to discreetly continue a deeper investigation into the Star Shattering Sect.

On the contrary, the second he got the opportunity, Su Han increased his speed and flew as fast as possible back towards the Western Central Region. Showcasing just how little he wanted to continue interacting with him and the Star Shattering Sect.

After all, the Star Shattering Sect looked every little bit the part of an ancient hidden sect on the surface and with him at the Star Creation Realm holding things together, there was no reason for anyone to suspect the Star Shattering Sect wasn’t an ancient hidden sect.

Investigate the sect? This was simply asking for death in the eyes of most. The only ones who might be bold enough to try to investigate the Star Shattering Sect would be the major powers from the Southern Central Region.

Although... With the current chaotic state of the Southern Central Region, there was little chance those major powers curious about the recent emergence of the Star Shattering Sect had the strength to spare. Especially given how he had already dealt with those few who had been poking around earlier back when he had picked up Lu Dongli, that seventh little disciple of his.

Compared to when she first entered the sect, she had already grown familiar with and had settled in.

The one problem with this seventh disciple of his was the fact that she was truly dedicated to her cultivation. Never stepping out of her cultivation quarters if it wasn’t necessary, something that in turn meant she hadn’t really made any friends beyond the few other disciples of his who interacted with her from time to time.

Not that he could do much in this regard, as the main reason for her one minded focus on cultivation had to do with her, Immortal Ice Mist Physique, that would pose a constant threat to her life unless she managed to successfully breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm or the Celestial Immortal Realm before the icy qi flowing through her body killed her, something that would be difficult even with his assistance.

"Maybe I should go and see if there is a way to help her out using my current comprehension of the Dao of Ice. After all, her Immortal Ice Mist Physique is ultimately a physique deeply tied to the Dao of Ice..." Muttering this as his divine sense retracted from Su Han as he finished a short meeting with an unlucky demonic cultivator that had been dragged over by him before he entered the Blue Sea Empire with the demonic cultivator crying as it agreed to let him through, Xuan Hao didn’t linger around the Ninth Star Peak where he had remained after Su Han left.

Vanishing from the spot using the Dao of Space to return to the Seventh Star Peak in a simple step before his divine sense locked onto Lu Dongli, who was unsurprisingly in a state of deep meditation inside her cultivation quarters. Icy mist Drifting around her body as her skin was covered in a thin layer of ice.

Although she hadn’t yet reached the same level as she had inside the illusion, he had forged to test her before taking her in as a personal disciple, her Immortal Ice Mist Physique had already developed to the point where the environment around her turned lethal to anyone at the Qi Condensation Realm when she cultivated. Even posing a certain threat to someone in the Foundation Establishment because of the low temperature.

Just watching how the icy mist formed beyond her control caried the underlying principle of the Dao of Ice and would be beneficial for someone just getting started in the Dao of Ice to observe and ponder.

One could only imagine how easily she would have it when it came to comprehending the Dao of Ice in the future, as reaching the Domain Lord Realm shouldn’t pose much of a challenge to her when her body created a natural dao field of ice around her whenever she cultivated.

Of course, it was nowhere near comparable to an actual dao field, but for someone who hadn’t even formed a domain yet, it would be immensely beneficial.

To be more accurate, it was an artificial dao field that could be created by anyone whose comprehension of a dao reached a certain level. Only difference being that creating something like that often required a certain upkeep and a dedicated investment of precious resources related to the dao in question in case one wanted to establish a more permanent kind of artificial dao field.

Ahm... That aside, he soon enough began closely inspecting the icy qi flowing through his disciple’s body. Observing how it was naturally formed and gathered without her doing anything. The entire process was mysterious and difficult to understand even for someone with his cultivation realm.

Still, as he ended up spending a little over an hour observing the unusual icy qi, he still managed to figure out a few ways to suppress it. The only problem with this suppression being that it would inevitably also end up slowing down his disciple’s cultivation in the process.

But at least in a worst-case scenario where the icy qi started to grow out of control, this method could also be used to calm it down to some extent. Allowing her to use the strength of her physique to some extent without killing herself in the process before fully awakening it.

Or in simple words, a trump card for when she inevitably ended up adventuring outside like her seniors had ended up doing. After all, though she could stay locked up within the sect focused entirely on cultivation for now, she would inevitably have to venture outside the sect if she wanted to continue growing- or at least visit the ascension realm tower.
