Chapter 2239: Final Preparations, Done~

Curious as he was about investigating the Second along with the First Star Peak again now that his strength had increased compared to the last time he had visited those two mountain peaks, he ultimately decided against it for now. Instead planning to wait until the phoenix feathers from the Myriad Treasure Hall showed up, as he had a feeling that they would be useful for exploring the Second Star Peak and the blue colored divine energy in more detail when the time came.

In any case, there wasn’t much for him to do but focus on his cultivation for the foreseeable future now that the sect had successfully established itself in the Northern Central Region as an untouchable major power in the eyes of the local powers.

The only real threat to the sect itself came from those major powers from the Southern Central Region who would undoubtedly be interested in learning more about the Star Shattering sect- and worse yet, there was also the Nine Core Faiths standing above those major powers.

The future was fraught with danger, but at least now that he had broken through to the Star Creation Realm, he felt somewhat safe in the face of those major powers from the Southern Central Region.

At the same time Xuan Hao found himself sitting down to cultivate focusing on the second dao rune blueprint he would have to carve into his dao lotus, somewhere in a corner of the sect, Mui was sitting down in a corner of the sect alongside Song Jia as she glanced towards two hunched figures standing before her.

"Yes, we are ready! We have gathered everything needed over the past three days. Everything is already in place and we can proceed accordingly. Elder Song and the elders under him shouldn’t cause us any problems either." And together with her question, one of the hunched figures lifted his head to answer with a respectful expression on his face.

Looking closer, one would realize that this person was none other than one of the elders who had ended up witnessing Mui’s successful breakthrough back in the ascension secret realm.

Having been convinced by her back then, he had ended up becoming a perfect underling in Mui’s eyes. Following in the footsteps of the other elders from back then who had similarly ended up becoming her lackeys.

Aiding her in creating the habitat she envisioned the heavenly lake floating above the Seventh Star Peak becoming. Gathering resources that she herself would have had a difficult time gathering, as Elder Song put restrictions on certain resources and made it difficult for her to gather large quantities of certain materials she wanted.

Still, everything had ended up working out thanks to the addition of these lackeys, as they had filled the gap in her resources-needs without a second thought. Allowing her to move forward with her plans ahead of schedule.

All she had to do was aid those elders in their cultivation, something she found incredibly simple and was more than willing to help with knowing just how many resources these elders helped her acquire.

Although there was still far too little for her to expand the Baobao population for now, it was at least good enough for her to start improving the heavenly river up above. Adding in a few of the things she hadn’t been able to add back when she had first shaped the heavenly river.

The only small problem she had left to overcome was figuring out a way to reach the heavenly river without drawing any unwanted attention.

Normally, this would be simple enough, as the heavenly river itself wasn’t restricted and the only real requirement to reach it was having the ability to fly, something even weaker disciples could accomplish with a flying artifact.

Though, gaining anything from the heavenly river with strength below the Domain Lord Realm and in most cases even below the Nascent Soul Realm was a difficult endeavor. Resulting in the heavenly river becoming more so a place for the younger disciples interested and wealthy enough to test their power under the growing pressure that increased the closer they got to the heavenly river.

Problem was, some of the things she needed to drag up there had been specially put together by her and couldn’t be placed inside an interspatial ring. Meaning they would have to drag those things up there out in the open.

Undoubtedly, the second she did something like that, Mui was certain Elder Song would learn about it and come rushing over to warn her that recklessly modifying the heavenly river could result in it breaking loose of the spatial anchors that kept it in place and cause it to plummet towards the sect that happened to be located right beneath it.

Still, things had already come this far, there was no way she could just give up when she was so close to the finish line.
