Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4567: Executions

Chapter 4567: Executions

“Tell me, what is the value of your life?”

Azariel’s six spider bones stretched out from behind, the sinister scythes at the tip of the bones each targeting Viska Stormsong’s body parts.

Two thrust against the side of the neck, two over her upper body, and another two over her legs.

Viska Stormsong trembled like a leaf billowing against the wind. She didn’t resist initially, so her body was spared from exploding, but now, there seemed to be no hope.

Her lips moved, but she couldn’t answer because she knew that no matter what she said, the purplish-green-haired man in front of her wasn’t going to spare her.

She could see the satisfaction that was waiting to seep into his eyes upon beheading her.

“P-Please…” She pleaded, tears spilling out faster.

“So no value? Die.” Azariel coldly spoke.

“Wait!”

Karyon Stormsong yelled out, his visage turning furious, but also despaired as though he had lost all his years. He breathed in and out, gasping for breath even though he had no lungs.

The pressure he was feeling couldn’t be described.

Azariel turned to look, his eyes gleaming coldly.

“…” Davis could only see that his son’s eyes had nearly turned into those of a killer. He really had no brakes, and if he had not come, it could’ve worsened.

He felt like the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Bloodline was to blame. It was no secret that once they had their hated prey in their grasp, they would go crazy with malevolence.

Karyon Stormsong’s lips quivered, “I… I’ll offer anything you want. I’ll offer the Serene Lightning Song Manual of Primarch Grade. I’ll offer the Stormsong Divine Melody Art. I’ll offer all the resources we have hunted and continue to hunt. Please spare the two of us…”

“Leader!”

“Karyon, you bastard.” A supreme genius with a mustache roared, “You got us into this mess, and you want to abandon us? Either save us all or die trying!”

“Nephrian, you know better than anyone that we’re done for!” Karyon Stormsong roared before his voice fell, “I could only save one more with my ability…”

Nephrian couldn’t help but laugh lightly, his white hair disheveled yet shimmering with the stormy thunder above.

“You bragged so much… you thought you were superior to every other supreme genius, but where are you now? Miserably held under the palm of the Divine Emperor of Death. I, Nephrian Stormsong, don’t have a big brother like you.”

“…” Karyon Stormsong trembled, but his expression only doubled down.

“Die for the Stormsong Family, Nephrian. I’ll make sure your family is taken care of. I give this promise to everyone, and one day, I swear I will make it up to you guys.”

“Bastard, if you want to kill the Divine Emperor of Death, do it now!”

“Do it like how you planned and brought all of us here. Do it with the same arrogance!”

“Silence!” Karyon Stormsong growled.

But his visage didn’t look any menacing, considering his head was in Davis’s palm, allowing the Stormsongs to curse him out.

Davis watched the show with vivid amusement in his eyes.

Karyon Stormsong’s deal was indeed delicious. A divine art couldn’t be obtained through soulscour because of karmic burden. Perhaps if he soulscoured everyone here, he might be able to put the pieces together, that is, if they had learned this divine art, but it wasn’t good to practice a divine art that was pieced together from fragments.

The backlash would be huge if one were to fail.

“This isn’t going anywhere since I don’t wish to leave more than one alive.”

Davis frowned.

“Please, Divine Emperor of Death. I’ll have the Stormsong Family completely stay their hands away from your family. I can’t promise when it comes to you, but as for the others, I can persuade my family not to target them.”

Karyon Stormsong begged. He couldn’t even turn to look at Davis, so he had no idea what kind of face the other party was making.

It was fine if the Divine Emperor of Death’s expression was full of mocking. He only hoped that it wasn’t utterly cold, devoid of emotions.

“That’s… good.” Davis nodded, “I like reasonable people who could converse instead of resorting to violence at the first sign of confrontation. If only you weren’t so stupid, but oh well, I think I can release another person with that kind of deal.”

“Many thanks, Divine Emperor of Death!”

“You should also construct a statue for me in your Upper Realm. It doesn’t matter if it gets destroyed.”

“I will!” Karyon Stormsong sang with forced excitement.

He didn’t care how odd he looked now since he only wanted to survive with the woman he sincerely loved.

Davis could also feel his emotions. It seemed like he had fled since fear overtook his body, and now that he could make amends, he was trying to save Viska Stormsong.

“Very well. On the account that we have reached a deal, I will agree to release another person. You can choose between the two of them.”

At this moment, Celestia received a soul transmission. She arrived behind a woman and made her stand up.

It was none other than Keira Stormsong.

“This…” Karyon Stormsong couldn’t understand. He eyed Viska, “I want Viska Stormsong to be released.”

“I know.” Davis nodded softly, “One is your fiancée, whom you love, and the other is your dead little brother’s fiancée, whom you fucked.”

“…!”

Karyon Stormsong felt like a lightning bolt had hit his head. How did the Divine Emperor of Death know!? He was not totally oblivious to the soulscour, but he thought it had happened in his dreams.

Was it real!?

Keira Stormsong shuddered, and the other supreme geniuses were shocked. However, they couldn’t care less at this moment.

“I also slept with Karyon!” A female supreme genius claimed.

“Liar.” Davis narrowed his eyes, “Do you want your life that much?”

“Yes- no!” She instantly lowered her head, trembling like a drenched little kitten.

Davis had no idea who this supreme genius was. Even Karyon Stormsong didn’t know her name since she came from a branch family who didn’t train using white lightning, but he called her Big Bosom Song for some reason.

He took his eyes off her bosoms and smiled.

“In any case, choose between the two of them. I know you also promised Keira Stormsong to be your lawfully wedded wife once the topic of your dead little brother disappears into the void. A man can’t escape from his promises. Choose.”

Davis lightly shook Karyon Stormsong’s head with a cold chuckle.

Karyon Stormsong shuddered. Of course, the answer was his fiancée, but right now, he knew he was being imaged, so anything he might say might only come back to bite back in the future.

He could tell the Divine Emperor of Death was planning to humiliate him until the end, but he also knew he had no other choice.

“Keira, I’m sorry. You know how Viska is important to me…”

“Mhm, I know. It is a pity that both your brothers are the heirs of my great Stormsong Family. This situation was avoidable, but both of you…”

Keira Stormsong bit her lips.

Only she knew how Aric Stormsong, her dead ex-fiancé and her lover, Karyon Stormsong, were absolute idiots to be offending the Divine Emperor of Death while being blinded by glory and greed.

Even if they were prideful in hunting Divergents, shouldn’t they choose which Divergent to hunt?

Of all Divergents, they chose the strongest one?

Tears spilled out of her eyes. The emotions she buried deep burst out.

“Die, everyone here should die. The Divine Emperor of Death. Karyon. All of you should just die…!” She screamed out with her eyes closed.

Her shoulders trembled and she gasped for breath, sniffling and crying silently, knowing she would be killed anytime now.

However, the blade never came for her.

“No!” A cry of despair echoed as the sound of an explosion could be heard.

When she opened her eyes, she saw that every Stormsong head within her vicinity had already exploded, including Karyon Stormsong’s head.

The only one to survive was… her.

Davis flicked the blood off his hand and walked towards her. Standing in front of her, he turned to look at the Imagery Stone Azariel held.

“This is my warning to all the powers present here. By the time it reaches you, I might’ve already killed more supreme geniuses for offending me and my family, so if you still have the chance, sternly warn your supreme geniuses to stay away from us. No amount of hoping that I will be killed in the Upper Realms will save your young geniuses from being killed, but I will send you one survivor to tell the tale.”

He reached out his hand, grabbing her chin while his fingers pressed on her cheeks, “In this case, it’d be this unlucky woman, Keira Stormsong, who bore witness to both aggressions, both started by Aric Stormsong and his elder brother, Karyon Stormsong.”

Azariel, Lucian, and Celestia ended the Imagery Stones, and they received the task to copy and spread them out everywhere they could go.
