Chapter 4566: Returning To The Wrathful Aeons Fortress
Davis chuckled.
He didn’t see Fairy Thunderblaze as a rival anymore, so he didn’t care if she thought she had won. He’d let her have it.
“Let’s go back then.”
“Are you not going to end him?” Fairy Thunderblaze asked.
She felt as though Davis was holding a trash bag, which didn’t seem good for his image in her gaze.
“Nah, I’ll let him see the consequences of his actions. Right now, his fellow family members, fiancée, and girlfriend would be dead or in a sorry shape.”
“You’re quite the villain.”
Now that he mentioned it, Fairy Thunderblaze was also interested in seeing Karyon Stormsong break down and cry like a wretched beggar. He had been quite the pain in the ass since these supreme geniuses followed her around, trying to hunt her down using all means possible.
“You won’t say that if you knew that this shit planned to violate you given the chance.”
“That’s commonplace.” Fairy Thunderblaze didn’t seem surprised, “You’re the only strange man who doesn’t want to warm his spoils.”
“…”
Davis went speechless. He didn’t bother to reply anymore.
They appeared near the entrance but forgot the way out.
Fairy Thunderblaze was equally confused, wondering where to access the illusory entrance.
Davis moved, walking through strange directions in the same space. She followed him, and the two of them got out fairly quickly. She was surprised to see that his comprehension of Illusion Laws was also high. Otherwise, she felt he wouldn’t have been able to decipher so quickly.
========
*Bang!~*
Lucian punched out, his fist connecting with the solar plexus of a Stormsong supreme genius. His body exploded into a bloody mess before they were abruptly engulfed in golden flames. The destructive nature of his flames quickly made the pieces of flesh into ashes. The aroma wafted, but it wasn’t even good since it was completely burnt within seconds.
What was barely left was an upper body with the neck and head, which the Stormsong supreme genius used to flee in terror.
However, a dark purple-green light shot past him, leaving behind a deep cut on the cheek.
A terrifying hex poison began to take root and spread, causing that supreme genius to scream out.
Meanwhile, Celestia unleashed a preliminary technique she had devised, imitating the Mandate Laws of the Five-Clawed Imperial Dragon using her soul to channel into a sigil that restricted the movements of the Stormsong supreme geniuses.
While she suppressed them, Lucian destroyed their bodies and crippled their dantians, while Azariel left them poisoned.
They made quick work of the dozen Stormsong geniuses after Davis left.
“Don’t harm her. Father seemed acquainted with her.” Azariel pointed at Keira Stormsong.
Therefore, she was the only one who wasn’t harmed in their hunt. However, Azariel did poison her, so she wasn’t entirely let go scot-free.
The Stormsong Family’s supreme geniuses were subdued just like that.
“So easy…” Lucian blinked.
“I don’t know why they even bothered showing up…” Azariel snickered, stepping on a Stormsong Family supreme genius’s head.
“You want to kill my family? Do you even think there’s a slight chance of exterminating us even if we displayed some opening?”
Azariel kept stomping on that supreme genius’s head, his gaze cold.
“Where do you think father went? It shouldn’t take long to capture Karyon Stormsong.”
Celestia asked, causing Azariel and Lucian to shrug.
They thought that their father would’ve already come back with a head, but he appeared to be taking more time than expected. Nonetheless, they secured the perimeter and cast glances in different directions, sensing a lot of lifeforms in the distance.
“Mother Nadia, think we should kill them?” Celestia’s voice echoed out.
“No need. Master wouldn’t want to attack those who weren’t aggressors.”
Nadia didn’t show herself, but her voice echoed out.
“But it’s pretty much obvious they have gathered here to take advantage of every party here if we were to fall into crisis.” Azariel argued.
“If you think that way, then you can kill them.” Nadia didn’t stop them, her voice echoing in a melodious tone, “I’m only advising you to show restraint so that in the future, the decisions you make will be much more reliable. If you consider the consequences beforehand and are able to make sound judgments, then even if everything goes downhill, you will still be able to face the consequences without any fear.”
“Mother Nadia is right,” Lucian nodded before he turned to look at Azariel, “Did you see how the so-called brave warrior of the Stormsong Family, Karyon Stormsong, who had led two teams to kill two Divergents, fled? He couldn’t endure the consequences and abandoned all of his people to survive by himself. That is the peak of selfishness and wickedness that our family advises against. Right now, we’re depending on father’s power, so if we want to kill and offend an entire power, you need to make sure that we’re capable of handling it by ourselves.”
Azariel couldn’t help but give his little brother a second glance, “Lucian, you have matured…”
“Haha,” Lucian chuckled, “I’m only repeating Mother Nadia’s words…”
“I’m repeating Master’s words.” Nadia echoed the sentiment.
Azariel went speechless.
Nonetheless, he echoed out, “If anyone continues to stay here after ten more seconds, then don’t blame me for being ruthless!”
His voice billowed across the area like a sinister threat, backed by his poisonous and dark aura.
A few auras flared in reaction to the threat, but eventually, they died out.
The Dawnbreaker Family’s supreme geniuses chose to retreat. The same could be said about the Verdant Time Galaxy’s spirits. They never showed themselves, hiding within the confines of space.
“Charles Dawnbreaker, you coward. Get over here!” But Azariel echoed, continuing to provoke.
Since he missed Karyon Stormsong, he wanted to face Charles Dawnbreaker, who also possessed Enigmatic Heart Laws. Azariel felt that it would be like fighting his father, which would further help him develop a sharp edge against such opponents.
However, Charles Dawnbreaker was no fool.
He decisively left.
Soon, Davis and Fairy Thunderblaze returned.
“Excellent work. To subdue them without killing them shows restraint and helps you make calm judgments. Never be swayed by emotions unless it’s something that you can’t forgive.”
Davis saw that none of the Stormsongs had died. He nodded, “Now behead them one by one until there’s one survivor left. Record it with Imagery Stones. Watch closely, Karyon Stormsong…”
He raised Karyon Stormsong’s head and pulled open his eyes from the top with his fingers.
“No… wait…” Karyon Stormsong trembled, his pupils quivering in terror, “We can… my power can buy me out. Buy us out. Just name your price… we’ll give it without complaining…!”
Azariel, Lucian, and Celestia had already whipped out Imagery Stones, their eyes seething with amusement but also hatred. They had already learned to never show mercy to their enemies. Karyon Stormsong proved himself to be an enemy when he baited them out and struck them with the power of the Elegant Thunderous Stormsong Wisp. They could’ve died.
Besides, as long as the Stormsong Family had a strict policy about killing Divergents, then this would be their stance- to kill on sight!
Azariel stepped forward to the first person.
“What is the value of your life? He asked that supreme genius, causing him to reply.
The supreme genius stuttered, “I… I can give two Primarch Grade resources.”
*Rip!~*
Azariel held a sword in his hand, but unexpectedly, a scythe from his back whipped out and stabbed that supreme genius’s head, destroying his soul.
“Two Primarch Grade resources? Doesn’t seem enough. Next…!”
Azariel turned to look at a female supreme genius with a crazed light in his eyes. The blood of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Arachnid churned within his body, inducing sadistic behavior like it was second nature.
“Karyon…! Help…!” Viska Stormsong bellowed out, tears spilling out of her eyes.
Her beautiful face was stricken with tears, yet her beauty seemed no less than before, evoking the desire to protect in men.
Karyon Stormsong’s gaze shook. He had promised his life with hers, but now, she was going to be beheaded. Words filled his throat, but he couldn’t get them out because he knew only one of them could get out, and it shouldn’t be her, but him.
