Chapter 4658: Three Choices
Heim Mavigglain took out a True Soul Contract. It didn’t greatly differ from the Blood Soul Contract. Only, the materials and the technique to make it were different. It seemed to be at Peak-Level Empyrean Grade, which was within this Shard Region’s limit.
Davis read the content and formed a quill in his hand that drained his blood-soul essence together. He wrote his name on the True Soul Contract. While doing so, he opened his mouth.
"After I defeated Almer Spacewill, I tampered with his memories. I made it seem like you and Wella Vertiga had finished your night, but got caught by Almer Spacewill, so he went insane and eventually lost the replica ring to an assassin. Unable to take Wella’s betrayal in his heart and losing the precious ring, he let go of himself and committed suicide. Hence, this matter would’ve spread by now, and your power would soon order you to be arrested because you didn’t listen to your power and had an illicit relationship. You would be forced to let go of your freedom and work for the Azure Skyfeather Palace or Mavigglain Clan until your death."
"As for Wella Vertiga, hmm, she would be deposed from her position or ostracized, depending on how her power views a woman’s reputation. Of course, this could be easily proved fake, but there would be many people within who want to see you two gone. In short, neither of you would ever be able to meet again."
Signing the True Soul Contract, Davis looked up and smiled gently, "Do you need my help to survive with your lover?"
"..."
Heim Mavigglain first smirked that he had this in the bag, but the more he heard, the more he went increasingly pale. The Divine Emperor of Death already had the two of them cornered!
Even if nothing happened here and they were to leave, he would’ve been sacked! Unless he let go of Wella Vertiga, he was truly done for!
"You..."
"Don’t blame me. I did what I had to do to conceal my tracks. It’s your fault for being in Almer Spacewill’s memories, so I just had to tweak it a little bit. See, the dead Almer Spacewill, who is probably in the reincarnation cycle by now, is crying that he had his woman stolen. Aren’t you glad?"
"She’s not his woman!" Heim Mavigglain retorted angrily.
"My apologies." Davis chuckled, "At least, that’s what he thought the whole time. Wella Vertiga must be truly beautiful and heavenly to be able to attract two heirs of opposing powers to herself. I wonder what’s the story behind the three of you? I didn’t ask Almer Spacewill since I wasn’t interested, but now, I certainly am..."
"..." Heim Mavigglain took a deep breath to calm himself down, "Do not insult Wella. She’s a illuminating goddess in my heart. She’s kind and warm but easily manipulated, making one want to protect her. The three of us met in a secret realm once when we were Immortal Kings, and ever since then, we have been smitten with her, but she chose me!"
There was clearly a tone of pride in his voice, leaving Davis speechless.
Regardless, he could tell that Wella Vertiga’s status was probably higher than the two of them.
Heim Mavigglain watched the True Soul Contract disperse into the void. Their contract was established, and they would now be free of each other’s aggression. He finally heaved a sigh of relief openly and opened his mouth.
"It’s your fault that things have proceeded to this stage. You must help me and Wella Vertiga survive back home. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to get what you want."
"Obviously," Davis replied as though it were a matter of fact.
As for helping an Anarchic Divergent, Davis knew that Heim Mavigglain would’ve already taken that into account. It was a risk that the latter must take in order to avoid a battle to the death between them. Otherwise, Heim Mavigglain wouldn’t have gone that far to give good conditions while still possessing the five-element replica to battle.
Utmost, he would die, and the five-element replica would fall into the Divine Emperor of Death’s hands. However, he didn’t need to go that far. There was always the option to flee. Since Heim Mavigglain didn’t do that, Davis believed that failure was not an option for Heim Mavigglain. However, it turned out that he could fake it till he made it.
In this case, he would just report to his superiors that he failed in his mission because Fairy Lea was not present and wouldn’t be able to come here because she was at the Empyrean Stage.
Heim Mavigglain took a whiff of air, calming his emotions, "The Void Loom Bangle’s ability is called Spatial Infiltration. It imbues lifeforms with the ability to enter restricted space by shrouding them with spatial runes that fool the core layer of space into thinking that it’s a part of it until the imbued lifeform makes or unleashes some changes that expose them. There’s also a time limitation for this ability, but that depends on how powerful the lifeform and the corresponding space the lifeform enters. For a place like the Shard Continent, I presume they would be able to stay for one or two months at the most. With how powerful this dimension is, I doubt they can send Exalts inside, but I won’t put it off the table."
"I see..." Davis went into contemplation, but Heim Mavigglain continued.
"As far as I know, the Void Loom Bangle also has another ability called Spatial Threading, which weaves spatial threads to bind foes, mend space, or even sever countless techniques. This replica belongs to the Spacewill Tribe, but on occasions, its subordinate powers will be able to use it. They would just imbue their group with Spatial Infiltration and quickly return the Void Loom Bangle to the Spacewill Tribe. Therefore, the True Void Galaxy always maintained some kind of advantage when it comes to entering secret realms."
"..."
Davis sighed as he thought of the consequences if he were to be in the unknown. He was confident that he could survive, but his wives would be targeted first. Since the enemy was coming for the Temporal Voidplane Ring, he shouldn’t doubt this point.
"Careful. Don’t underestimate them. They are Zealots, the Void Reflection Deity’s true worshipers. They would do anything, even give up their own lives or kill their own families if the Deity so required. The Void Loom Bangle isn’t that great. These Empyreans wouldn’t be able to leave this world, so they’re here for a suicide mission."
"..." Davis carefully glanced at Heim Mavigglain before he nodded, "This information is worth a lot."
"I wouldn’t have dared gambled on this if the information wasn’t worth it."
Heim Mavigglain smirked. By this time, he was sure of his survival, so he was able to control his voice and movements well. He heaved a breath, "Now you tell me how I can overcome this difficulty, and I will tell you about the Elemental Discord Prism next."
