Chapter 4659: Elemental Discord Prism
"Just abandon the Azure Skyfeather Palace and defect to some other supreme power. As long as you hand over the replicas to the Celestial Transcendent, I’m sure he will receive you two with a warm welcome."
"..." Heim Mavigglain froze.
"It would be the easiest way. Unlike Almer Spacewill, your power shouldn’t have any method to activate a protective immortal soul hereafter your death. If there is, I could take care of it, but then you would have to be vulnerable from opening your soul to me. Regardless, the second method is to say other than meeting with Wella Vertiga and saying last words of goodbye, everything is fake, that you had a battle with the Divine Emperor of Death and got framed by Almer Spacewill while you were weak and hiding. By logic, only Almer Spacewill could change his own memories and mislead the protective immortal soul. There are too many resources and anomalies in the Shard World that make this capable."
"Your falsified story is partially true, making the three powers further confused as to what happened, so unless they soulscoured you, they wouldn’t know what truly happened. Unlike Almer Spacewill, you still have the Elemental Discord Prism, so they wouldn’t be able to do that kind of invasive measures, but I’m not sure how your power reacts to these kinds of matters, so you will have to handle that as it comes."
"As for Wella Vertiga, get her to publicly condemn you and Almer Spacewill for falsely ruining her reputation. Get her to stab you with a sword as though she’s reacting badly to a rejection and trying to save her reputation. If she can’t act in tandem with you, you both are done."
"..."
Looking at Heim Mavigglain, who was thoroughly stunned, Davis blinked as he frowned, "Or what? Do you both want to defect to my power and receive my protection? In that case, I’ll happily take your Elemental Discord Prism and her replica as tributes."
"You... your plans are ridiculous. They won’t work." Heim Mavigglain felt a chill.
In a short amount of time, this calamity came up with a complicated plan that confused all three powers in a way that would make them stay their hands. However, one crack and everything will shatter. This teetered on the edge of craziness.
Davis simply smiled, "You don’t have to trust me. If it were me, I know I’ll make it work. Regardless, as a connoisseur of romance, I recommend the second method. The second method will determine how far the two of you love each other. Can you sacrifice your morals and ideals to stay alive together? Don’t you want to see how far Wella Vertiga, who chose you, can go?"
"..." Heim Mavigglain was stunned. He had previously considered the second method was the worth but now, he wasn’t so sure.
He lowered his head, entering deep into thought before asking, "What’s your opinion on Celestial Transcendent, the ruler of the human race’s galaxy? You have fought his eminence before, right? I know you are restricted by the Covenant that disallows you from entering Upper Realms for the next ninety years."
"Tsk, tsk. You truly did your homework." Davis nearly rolled his eyes, "If you knew I won’t be able to enter Upper Realms, why did you agree to a ceasefire?"
"I don’t know if you already have Wella Vertiga in your hands by performing a karmic or curse technique on her. You acted like you did, so I wasn’t so sure, but it seems like they were just empty threats..." Heim Mavigglain gritted his teeth.
"Well-uh... You’re truly a foolish man. There aren’t many supreme geniuses who would give up their lives for their love."
Davis wryly smiled. He had seen too many cases of abandonment here. Even Karyon Stormsong abandoned his fiancée, Viska Stormsong. He prioritized his own life until he was given the opportunity to save one other person. It went without saying that every other supreme genius chose their own selves.
Davis didn’t find any fault with it, as self-preservation was the utmost survival mechanism a lifeform possessed. It was no different than a divine right.
He considered Heim Mavigglain a fool as much as he thought about himself, prioritizing the life of their loved ones over their own. However, that was how they had chosen to live, so there was some kind of understanding between them.
"In any case, those are the three methods I can tell you while being an outsider. The rest you would have to play along. Once a lie started, you would have to keep lying. This sin would also have to be borne by Wella Vertiga. It is the price for the two of you to come together in the future. If you don’t have that determination, then just end it and return to your powers if you value your powers so much."
Davis shook his head, "It’s your turn."
"..."
Heim Mavigglain was silent for a few seconds, pondering over his words before he opened he took out a triangular prism the size of a fist. There were countless specks of light inside, dazzling the world with their appearance. Five colors were prominent, flickering like stars in the skies.
Davis could see at a glance that they contained the powers of Fire, Wood, Metal, Earth, and Water.
"This is the Elemental Discord Prism, a High-Level Empyrean Grade Replica of the five-elements Primeval Law Treasure. It belongs to both my Azure Skyfeather Clan and the Divine Phoenix’s Mavigglain Clan. Its abilities are Elemental Eruption, which unleashes random bursts of elements. Elemental Augmentation amplifies or deamplifies the five elements greatly, allowing the user to clench victory if it’s a battle against fire, wood, metal, earth, and water users. Lastly, Elemental Trifusion, which is capable of fusing three elements at once."
Davis nodded heavily at Heim Mavigglain’s explanation.
"How did you bring it inside? It’s a part of the Shard World?"
"The Five Element Apex Treasure is said to have been a part of the Elemental Dimension before it split off. I’m not sure. However, the treasure obeys the laws here, so it couldn’t over-unleash its powers. Cultivators at the Immortal Emperor Stage will not be able to use those replicas at the Exalt Grade. Hence, those replicas of the five elements of nature couldn’t be brought inside the Shard World. It could be easily stolen just like you stole Almer Spacewill’s Temporal Voidplane Ring."
"Haha... I wouldn’t hesitate to plunder them if they brought such delicacies inside. Yours is no different since it could directly benefit ."
Davis’s eyes flashed with a sharp gaze, momentarily causing Heim Mavigglain to stiffen.
’But the truth is... It’s not worth offending nearly half the galaxies over them. These replicas are not even at the Exalt Grade. They’re not stronger than the Malevolent Demon Erasure Fan. The Temporal Voidplane Ring would do for now...’
Davis inwardly chuckled before answering, "But since we came to an agreement, I don’t mind ignoring it. I’m a pacifist at heart unless provoked. You know... like a beehive."
"Brother Davis..." Heim Mavigglain added with a thick, emphasizing voice, "I have heard of your feats and the way you take action. There are many mixed opinions due to the numerous rumors, so I’m unsure how to truly see you for who you are. Regardless, I hope we can find peace within this arrangement and grow together as much as possible."
"..." Davis blinked, "No wonder Fairy Wella chose you."
"..."
Heim Mavigglain nearly blushed out of shame. Unfortunately, he had no choice but to lower his head to this agreement since he was the weaker party.
Some time later, Davis left to see Ophirya Kaelis.
