Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4900 A Confused Tree

Chapter 4900  A Confused Tree

Outside a mansion under a vast starry sky, a crimson-purple-robed woman stood on the platform before the stairs as she gazed above.

Behind her purple veil, her features were exquisitely sculpted, as if she had been made by a superior being with a perfect aesthetic sense. Her visage was etched with a delicate, snow-pale complexion that seemed to glow against the yellow light of the lantern outside the mansion. Her eyebrows arched like phoenix wings, sharp yet alluring, giving her gaze a naturally arrogance, a born-imperial soul.

Her nose was slender and straight, refined, adding a regal sharpness to her beauty. Her lips, painted with the color of fresh blood, were full and soft, beyond attractive.

It was a face that would cause empires to wage wars.

Such a Celestial Fairy was deep in thought, her mind weighing over a single man. Her gaze occasionally glimmered as though her eyes moistened and a few times grew firm, only for her to take a step forward and descend the stairs, but return a moment later, only to continue gazing at the stars.

She pursed her crimson lips, wryly smiling at her own disability.

'You have grown so weak, you villainess…'

She closed her eyes, appearing to turn around and walk into the mansion, when a footstep echoed behind her, causing her to come to a pause.

"Aren't you going to welcome him? Myria has gone outside but has yet to return. Something might've happened." A fair, calm voice echoed out melodiously.

Fairy Thunderblaze turned to look behind as she gazed at Fairy Wix Voidfield, perfectly aware that it was Stella Voidfield's mother, although their faces looked the same. However, she could see that their style and figures were different.

She turned around and faced Fairy Wix Voidfield.

"Thinking back, everything started with you and Myria saving him from me back then. Otherwise, he would've remained my prisoner."

"So what?"

"Nothing. I just suddenly felt the need to thank you for saving him from me. It's a deed worthy of a thousand blessings." Fairy Thunderblaze smiled cryptically.

"You make yourself sound like a real villainess now."

"I am a villainess. I would've sinned by degrading him and destroying his potential. Fortunately, you two stepped in."

"…" Fairy Wix Voidfield couldn't help but wonder what was up with her. She was confused.

She was about to leave when Fairy Thunderblaze's voice echoed again.

"Wait."

"…?"

Fairy Wix Voidfield turned to look at her.

Fairy Thunderblaze hesitated but still asked, "Do you share a soul pact with Saintess Lunaria?"

"No, Void Dust Trees don't share a soul pact since the structure of our soul is different than most lifeforms. It is unresearched. However, we do pick someone to spend our time with if they are capable of nurturing us. Usually, this would be someone with life or wood-spatial energy. We then grow to share an unbreakable bond with them- such is my bond with Saintess Lunaria."

Fairy Wix Voidfield didn't hide anything.

"Then-" Fairy Thunderblaze asked, "What if you suddenly find that this bond you shared was fake because it was broken? Or… broken because it was fake?"

"…??" Fairy Wix Voidfield grew more confused, but she didn't stop answering like a wise tree.

"Then I would be extremely enraged and become vengeful. I would kill them. I don't mean to hide behind a Void Dust Tree's instincts to monopolize, but that's what I would do." She said without a change in her expression.

"…"

Fairy Thunderblaze nodded, "It has been helpful. You have my gratitude for answering."

Fairy Wix Voidfield nodded before she turned around and walked down the stairs. She also gazed up at the stars, her lips pursing as she suddenly thought.

'If I slept with my daughter's human, would that mean I betrayed my bond with master? But master clearly said I can search for someone to nurture me intimately and have a child back then…' She thought, finding it difficult to make sense of it as she went down the stairs.

Eventually, she came to the entrance, intending to go out of the pocket realm she set up in order to make multiple teleportations back to Stella, when she suddenly came to a stop.

"Fairy Wix…"

Davis stepped into the grotto and had just entered a pocked realm when he stumbled upon Fairy Wix Voidfield. His expression turned joyful as he approached her when suddenly Fairy Wix stepped forward, closing the distance as she smacked her crimson lips on him.

"…!"

Davis was dumbfounded.

He just realized what had happened when, suddenly, Fairy Wix broke the kiss and flew back.

However, Davis reacted rather quickly and caught her arm, pulling her back as he claimed her waist, holding her close.

"…!" Fairy Wix was shocked by his strength.

She was a Level Nine Empyrean in the third cycle. She had a high prowess, but he had still pulled her back like she was a hollow tree, making her nearly gasp. Panic quickly set into her expression as her eyes quivered. She hurriedly looked behind him and said, "Ah, seniors!"

"…!"

Davis thought the ones behind him had also arrived, even though he had gotten enough of a head start, and hurriedly let her go before he got murdered by the senior disciples in a fit of rage. However, when he looked back, there was no one.

Knowing he was fooled, Davis turned to look at Fairy Wix, who flew away. Just as he intended to follow her and thoroughly corner her to demand answers, a few figures entered the pocket realm from behind.

It was Jaiyan and the others.

Davis clenched his fist, 'Dammit. She kissed me again and escapes like nothing happened. What does she even want…? Why doesn't she just confess instead? I wouldn't mind, and even Stella doesn't as long as I can provide for them both…'

He really couldn't understand this mature tree. Unfortunately, he didn't use his Heart Intent at that moment and only managed to catch a glimpse of her strange feelings for him after the kiss. Her feelings ranged from affection to panic to worry.

Behind, the sound of laughter echoed as Jaiyan, Laphria Rinmei, and the others appeared to be discussing something, but Davis felt a gaze on him from the distant mountain. He turned to look towards the left as he raised his head and saw a beauty gazing at him from the entrance of a mansion.

His heart sped up more than when encountering Fairy Wix and her sudden kiss.

He could tell that she had probably witnessed their kiss. However, his heart was filled with a strange passion that made his blood boil in various ways.

"Don't go anywhere. We need to make the first teleportation and then allow junior sister Wix to rest before we make the rest of the teleportations." Seeing Davis leave, Karyot reminded him.

"I'll be back quickly."

Davis's voice echoed as he rose into the air and flew towards Fairy Thunderblaze.

Fairy Thunderblaze's heart couldn't stop pounding as he saw him approach. She held her breath in anticipation, not knowing if he was still hers, as the charm couldn't be felt from afar, and the chances that the charm broke were extremely high after he reached the Empyrean Stage.
