Chapter 3730: Origin
While Frife-Ni thought about what he was seeing, Rean couldn’t help but ask. "Why did you ask Fruier to kill us when you saw the feather?"
Frife-Ni’s attention was caught, and he looked back at the call. "Alright, I’ll take the bait. We can discuss that in person. Follow the instructions I’ll send you, and we should be able to meet in a few days’ time."
"Are you sure?" Fruier asked, narrowing her eyes. "The strength these two have... No, these three, since that black haired human is also around. Their strength can’t be taken lightly. What if they meet you and they let out an army of Space-Time Realm anomalies like themselves?"
Frife-Ni shook his head in response. "Think about it. How many Space-Time Realm experts do you know to be that strong? I’m pretty sure I don’t know anyone in any of the races of our Demon Beasts’ Territories. In fact, I don’t think even the Ermmel Clan has someone like them. Just leave it to me. I know how to protect myself."
Fruier decided to let it go. "Well, if you are wrong, then it is the Minokawas who will suffer most due to your decision, so it isn’t a bad idea." She then turned to Rean. "You, let go of our formation."
"Sure!" Rean did exactly that.
Fruier noticed how she could now control the slaughtering formation again, wondering if she should activate it and kill Rean and Kentucky. However, she gave up. Since he took control of it once, he probably could do it again. "Now, get the fuck out of my Mountain Range. I don’t want to see any of you anymore."
Rean recorded the instruction Frife-Ni passed to him and quickly took his leave with Kentucky. Sometime later, the mountain range was already out of their line of sight.
Of course, Fruier didn’t simply ignore their existence. She contacted the other members of her Obsidian Dreadox Race through the Werdlem Network and told them what happened here. It’s just that she used some codes to make sure her call couldn’t be used against them.
---
Rean looked at the instructions, sighing. "Basically, we will find a contact from Frife-Ni, who will bring us to some different places. Also, he demands that we wear a special cloak that seals our Divine Sense inside so we can’t tell where we are going. Last but not least, our guide will change at every location. They are being very careful about this."
"What if it is a trap?" Kentucky asked.
"That’s why we will have Roan or Celis stay out and far away from us, just enough to be inside the One Light Year of distance," Rean answered. "If something happens, we can enter the Dimensional Realm and leave it by their side."
Roan warned from within the Dimensional Realm. ’If they make you teleport away, you might be sent further away than our Light Year Range. At that point, neither you nor I will be able to enter the Dimensional Realm.’
Rean stopped for a moment. "Then what do we do? Give up this meeting?"
"We have come this far," Kentucky commented. "Rean, Roan, Celis, and I... Each one of us can definitely fight a Divinity Realm Expert, maybe two, depending on their level, so we have considerable strength. We also have Sister Orb to deal with formations as long as they aren’t too high-level. We can take this little bit of risk, can’t we? It’s not like we have to be scared of everything for the rest of our lives if we don’t have access to everything every time."
Roan showed a rare moment of agreement. ’The chicken is right. Just go ahead and finish this shit. We took a higher risk using the Abyssal Path to come to this Universe, after all.’
Rean could only go with it. "Alright, let’s move forward. According to the instructions here, we can find the first contact in the Hranwix Continent, not far from here."
"Great!" Kentucky took a look at the CD, and after ascertaining the location, he opened a Spatial Gate, quickly disappearing inside with Rean.
---
Somewhere else, Frife-Ni had a pensive expression, still looking at the drop of blood in front of him. He was certain the blood was at least from a relative of the same bloodline, one as close as a parent or a sibling. Still, the fact that his parents never told him anything bothered the Minokawa.
He took out his CD, using it to contact a different number.
-Frife-Ni? Why are you contacting me?- A voice from the other side asked.
"Karki-Tu, you have known my parents the longest, you said. Did they have another egg before me?" Frife-Ni was asking a member of his race, who lived in the same nest’s location before the war started. He couldn’t contact his parents directly as Ratria and Ploto didn’t have their CDs with them.
-Another egg?- Karki looked confused. -Not that I know, at least. Why the question?-
Frife-Ni thought a little bit more, finally asking something else. "Do you know about my parents’ origin?"
Karki-Tu went silent for a moment. "You should ask them directly, and definitely not through the Werdlem Network."
Hearing that confirmed something for Frife-Ni. "I understand. Thank you."
Truth be told, all Frife-Ni knew was that Puorton-Le and Vavalia-Hek weren’t their real names. The part of Kentucky coming from the same place was a puzzle to Frife-Ni. He didn’t know his parents came from outside this Universe and the Werdlem Empire altogether. In his mind, they were hiding their real names for some other reason, and they actually were part of the same Minokawas in this Divine Realm. Of course, that was not the case.
Still, Frife-Ni wondered if his parents actually came from some other corner of the Universe F974. That’s what he thought about Kentucky. Just some place in another region of the Divine Realm that you wouldn’t expect Minokawas to exist. As for coming from outside, that possibility still hasn’t passed through his mind.
’Why would they hide the existence of that guy...’ With that in mind, Frife-Ni prepared to receive Rean and Kentucky.
