Chapter 4537: Sweep
Inside the meeting hall, Coyui was brought to the center, near the enormous pillar, before the Sect Master finally spoke.
"Tell everyone what you told us."
Coyui, with one foot discreetly resting over the Ring Communicator, nodded nervously. "Y-Yes, seniors. As I to-told you before, I’m not really sure if they are outsiders, but I believe it to be so. They said they teleported from outside into that vault, and I just so happened to be there at that moment."
He paused briefly, glancing around at the countless experts watching him before continuing. "How-however, they were extremely weak against our Godly Pressure. Inside the vault, there was no Godly Pressure at all. But by the time they stepped outside, they couldn’t even move. Two of their companions had to use a very damaging technique just so they could finally move again and kill the enemy that attacked us."
Coyui swallowed nervously. The number of powerful experts gathered around him was enough to make anyone uncomfortable, especially someone who had spent his entire life believing the Rosvelt Sect was one of the most untouchable powers in Dlaval City.
"I’ve never seen anyone, especially cultivators at their level, feel weakened by Godly Pressure, let alone to the point that they couldn’t move. Two of them were even Law Gods. That’s why I truly believe they are outsiders."
After that, Coyui proceeded to tell the entire story, exactly as Rean had instructed him to. He wasn’t supposed to lie, so he didn’t. From the moment he first encountered the twins’ group inside the vault to the moment they supposedly sent him away through the Teleport Array, he explained everything he knew.
Naturally, he didn’t mention the Ring Communicator hidden beneath his foot.
Everyone listened to his story with shock written across their faces.
Outsiders!
Had there ever been outsiders inside Woster before? According to Coyui’s testimony, there was a very good chance that these people had come from beyond the isolated world. He had even heard them refer to their home as the City Prison of Woster.
Coyui had told the Sect Master and the few High-Elders all of this before, and this specific part pretty much convinced them that Coyui was right. The City Prison of Woster. Deep underneath the sect, there was the Woster Guarding Grounds. No outsider should know about this. Coyui himself didn’t know the place he was found was called by such a name either. That couldn’t be a coincidence.
The implication behind those words alone was enough to make many experts’ expressions change.
A prison! Was that truly what Woster was? Could there really be a world beyond the boundaries that no one had ever managed to cross? Eventually, Coyui finished recounting everything.
"As you heard," Zandal said, his voice echoing throughout the silent hall, "there is indeed a very good chance that these people are outsiders. At this moment, pictures of what they look like are being distributed throughout Dlaval... or Woster, which is how they call this place."
As he spoke, several subordinates began moving through the hall, handing identical pictures to all the elders and important personnel present.
Soon, something obvious began to happen.
Kabriu and his mother noticed that the elders who received the pictures before them were beginning to look in their direction. At first, neither of them understood why. Then the pictures finally reached them.
Their expressions immediately became extremely interesting. "This..."
Sure enough, two of the pictures were none other than Kentucky and Kachia! Kabriu had just taken one of them as his disciple, while the other had entered the Rosvelt Sect as his disciple’s official helper.
"Kentucky!"
Zandal immediately noticed the commotion and turned in their direction. "Have you seen them?"
Kangrie stepped forward before her son could properly react. "Yes, Sect Master. These two." She lifted the pictures of Kentucky and Kachia for everyone nearby to see. "They were here in the meeting hall before you arrived. My son had just taken one of them as his disciple, the one called Kentucky. He had recently succeeded in passing the Sect Entrance Test. The other entered the sect as Kentucky’s personal helper."
"What?!" Zandal was taken aback. "Where are they now?!"
"Ou-Outside!" Kabriu answered helplessly. "I told them to wait outside until the meeting was over."
"Quick! Go catch them!"
The reaction was immediate. Several Law God elders rushed out of the meeting hall at once, spreading their Godly Energy through their bodies as they moved. In just moments, they reached the group of cultivators waiting outside alongside Kentucky and Kachia.
However, by the time they got there... Kentucky and Kachia were nowhere to be seen.
"Where did they go?!" High-Elder Falasliu demanded, showing the pictures to the cultivators and guards waiting outside.
Most of those present hadn’t paid much attention to Kentucky or Kachia, so only a few even remembered seeing them. Unfortunately, none of them had noticed exactly when the two disappeared.
"The-They are here..." One of the guards began before looking around in confusion. "Or... at least they were around fifteen minutes ago or so."
Falasliu’s expression darkened.
He had also arrived late alongside the Sect Master and the few members who already knew about the discovery concerning the outsiders. Incredibly, they had just lost the opportunity to capture Kentucky and Kachia right inside the heart of the Rosvelt Sect.
Still, one couldn’t entirely blame them. Who would expect their targets to appear inside the Monthly Report Gathering? That place was located at the very heart of the Rosvelt Sect. According to Coyui, the twins’ group had parted ways with him only a few days ago.
Could such a short period of time really have been enough for these supposed outsiders to infiltrate this deeply into the sect? Experts who had never even entered Dlaval City until days ago? No one would have believed such a thing. And yet, that was exactly what had happened.
Fifteen minutes ago was when Coyui had been brought into the meeting hall to reveal the possible existence of outsiders. The timing was simply too convenient.
No one present was an idiot. The moment the twins’ group saw Coyui arrive behind bars, they must have immediately understood that their identities had already been compromised. They would need to be complete fools to remain inside the Rosvelt Sect after seeing that.
"Spread out!" Falasliu immediately ordered. "Go to the exits! Have the guards protecting the walls of the Central Section of Dlaval stop anyone from flying out, including sect members. We must not let them escape the city!"
Zandal floated to Falasliu’s side, his mood just as terrible.
"They have a Demon Bird," he reminded everyone. "Fifteen minutes is definitely more than enough time for them to leave the sect premises."
Another High-Elder quickly stepped forward. "We can use Kentucky and Kachia’s Sect Badges. If they are still carrying them and remain inside Dlaval’s Central Section, we should be able to find their location."
"Contact the Security Hall," Zandal immediately ordered. "If they still have their badges, we must catch them."
It took less than a minute for someone to come running back with an answer. "Sect Master! The badges are still inside the sect!"
"What?!" Zandal was taken aback once more. "Where?"
"Well..." The subordinate looked around before answering. "According to the security hall, they should be somewhere around here."
That immediately caused everyone nearby to spread out and search the surroundings. Sure enough, it didn’t take long before one of the disciples found something.
"We found them!" A disciple quickly approached Zandal and the High-Elders. "The badges were left in the middle of the trees," he reported before passing the two badges to Zandal.
"They definitely aren’t idiots," Falasliu commented.
The two badges had been deliberately discarded. There was no question about it. However, Zandal suddenly narrowed his eyes as another thought occurred to him. "Don’t you need the badges to leave the sect?"
"They do," Drodui, another High-Elder, confirmed. "Could they still be somewhere inside the sect?"
"I very much doubt it," Falasliu replied after thinking about the situation. "Coyui mentioned that they possessed some kind of technique capable of making them completely invisible to the naked eye. With something like that..."
His eyes moved toward the sect gates, although he couldn’t see them from here. "They could simply approach the entrance and wait for it to open for a moment. Then, they could walk outside without triggering any alarms."
"In fact, that is most likely exactly what they did. Kentucky and Kachia should have already known they needed the badges to exit the sect, after all. Since they discarded the badges here, they obviously thought they had no need for them."
Zandal frowned. "If they can do such a thing, why would they try to join the sect instead of simply infiltrating it with this skill?"
No one immediately had an answer.
What Zandal didn’t know was that the twins’ group genuinely believed the Rosvelt Sect possessed other methods of detecting cultivators who entered its premises.
However, the truth was somewhat different.
The Rosvelt Sect possessed many arrays focused on preventing people from entering locations they weren’t authorized to access. Detection arrays also existed, but they were relatively simple and were primarily concentrated around the borders of the sect’s estate, where infiltrators would normally be expected to enter.
Rean’s group had simply been too cautious. Still, considering the circumstances, their caution had proven useful.
"In any case," Zandal finally continued, "they are most likely outside the sect already. Send the order to find them. Spread their pictures throughout Dlaval. Offer rewards that no one would dare to ignore."
His metallic body slowly shifted as he floated above the ground, his mood becoming increasingly serious. "They might be our only chance to escape this place!"
Then, after thinking about the situation for a little longer, he added, "Also, just in case, search the sect as well. The most idiotic thing would be for us to look for them outside while they are hiding right under our noses."
Little did Zandal know how correct he was.
Yes, Rean, Kentucky, Celis, and Kachia hadn’t left the sect.
If anything, they had never been so close to these High-Elders and the Sect Master!
