Chapter 4612: Effort
Several days later, the twins’ group received a Spatial Ring from the Godly Subjugation Guild. Inside were the rewards for their contributions to the Elite Exploration Mission. Above all, however, was a portion of the compensation package that Natak had provided to Besgol and the other Regions in exchange for being allowed to remain in the alliance.
Celis immediately took the Spatial Ring and used his Godly Sense to inspect its contents. The moment he saw what was inside, his branches trembled with excitement. "Hehe... Hahaha! Good! Good!"
There were seven Godly Horror Crystals alone. One couldn’t forget that this was only a portion of the compensation. There were even more crystals included in the overall payment, especially since Natak was a Region that had accumulated a relatively large number of Law Gods over the years. Naturally, Besgol had kept most of the compensation for itself.
Celis obviously wasn’t particularly happy about that, but he wasn’t going to complain. Tobao’s original intention had been to remove the Natak Region from the alliance entirely. Had that happened, the twins’ group wouldn’t have received a single crystal from the compensation package. Compared to getting nothing, this was already an excellent result.
The twins’ group then distributed the Godly Crystals among everyone, with Lukay and Kachia naturally taking their shares of the Godly Horror Crystals as well. After everything was divided, the twins’ group ended up with twenty-one Godly Horror Crystals available for cultivation, not to mention almost four hundred Godly Predator Crystals.
According to Celis’s calculations, the Godly Predator Crystals alone would already be enough to cultivate everyone to the limit of the Peak Stage of the Zone God Realm. As for the Horror Crystals, their purpose was obvious. They would be used for further cultivation after reaching the Zone God Realm.
With their resources secured, the twins’ group informed the guild of their intention to enter seclusion. After receiving approval from Closau, they were exempted from missions for the time being. They would only be called out if something truly urgent happened, such as a massive horde of Godly Creatures that required the combined strength of the entire guild.
"Sigh... Do we really have to?" Kentucky couldn’t help but complain.
Celis immediately glared at him. "Obviously! Now shut up and let’s start cultivating."
"He is sad because he won’t be able to spend more time with Kachia for a while," Rean said with a smile.
"So what?" Kentucky countered. "You guys have your wives and descendants. I haven’t experienced any of that yet!"
Rean patted Kentucky’s feathers. "Speaking of experience, have you gone all the way already?"
*Rawr!*
’Rean, my crystals! I want to cultivate!’
Luxa was already several decades old, so she understood perfectly well what they were talking about. It was just that she wasn’t the least bit interested in participating in that conversation. As far as she was concerned, the only important thing at the moment was her share of the crystals.
"What are you talking about?" Rean asked. "I added a Spatial Compartment to your collar especially for that, didn’t I? Your share of the crystals is inside."
*Rawr!*
’Oh! Right! I forgot about this thing!’
Rean’s attention immediately returned to Kentucky. "So? So?!"
Kentucky refused to answer. "That is none of your business."
"Which means they have," Roan commented with his usual cold expression. He didn’t seem particularly interested in the matter either. "Now that you have your answer, can we sta—"
"Really?!" Rean’s eyes immediately lit up, cutting him off. "Tell me more!"
Kentucky was helpless. "This isn’t the kind of thing you talk about! Do you want me to ask you how things were with Qia back then? Huh?!"
"Oh! Do you want to know about that? Sure! Let me see... Where do I start..." Surprisingly, Rean didn’t give a damn about the threat and genuinely seemed ready to tell him everything.
Kentucky quickly closed Rean’s mouth with one of his wings. "I don’t want to know about that either! Let’s cultivate! Yes, let’s cultivate! We can’t waste any more time here. Let’s start."
Rean looked disappointed. "Tch... It was getting to the interesting part."
Celis glanced at Kentucky, a thought silently appearing in his mind. ’That... might actually be a very good way of convincing him in the future. I’ll keep that in mind.’
—
Hours passed. Then days. Then weeks and months.
No one saw the twins’ group for more than two years. Their estate remained quiet throughout that entire period, with only the faint fluctuations of cultivation energy coming from inside. Then, one day...
*Boom!*
A huge burst of Godly Energy erupted from their estate, spreading through the surrounding area and immediately catching the attention of the residents of the other estates in the guild.
The Guild Branch Master noticed the disturbance as well and quickly sent a message to Clasou to report what had happened. With such a powerful burst of Godly Energy, it was obvious that someone from the twins’ group had successfully reached the Zone God Realm.
—
Back in their residence, Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Celis had indeed succeeded. Above all, they hadn’t needed to spend a single Orb Point to devise the Zone God level of their cultivation technique, since they had obtained it as a reward from the previous system quest.
Roan didn’t waste any time. He immediately passed his stabilization pills to Rean and the others. "Swallow them and get used to your new strength. Everyone will have a month before we resume cultivating."
Celis couldn’t help but comment, "A month is too much. We should be fine in two weeks at most."
Kentucky immediately refused. "No! I want a month! I’m not coming back until thirty days are gone! I’m out!"
Without waiting for anyone to say anything else, he swallowed his pills and flew out of the room.
Where was he going?
Obviously, he went to see Kachia!
Rean shrugged and decided to spend his time with his own family. "I’m going to the Great Void. See you guys in a month."
*Rawr!*
’I’m going too!’
Rean and Luxa disappeared without a trace.
Roan didn’t say anything, but he also left. The place had to be large enough to accommodate Celis and Kentucky in their true forms, after all. The arrays quickly stopped operating, leaving Celis alone in the enormous room.
Well, Celis wasn’t actually alone.
There was a Raven perched on one of his branches, a Raven who seemed much sharper than she had been before.
"It is surprising you didn’t go with Roan," Celis commented.
Lunelle, who had spent a great deal of time eating her Godly Crystals, had developed quite well over these two-plus years. She tilted her head slightly before answering through Godly Sense. ’Roan wants time with family. I have Roan later.’
She had learned how to use Godly Sense and speak during this time, although she still possessed a rather childish mind. She had turned out to be a remarkably calm bird, but she wasn’t cold like Roan. If anything, she was better described as chill and gentle. She was definitely the complete opposite of Luxa.
Lunelle then opened her wings and flew down to a small nest she had built for herself. Once there, she took another Godly Beast Crystal and began chewing on it. ’I’m late. Luxa far ahead. I will use time to catch up. I want third tail feather.’
Celis nodded approvingly. "Now, that’s the spirit! Judging by the amount of Godly Energy you’ve absorbed and the amount Luxa had absorbed before she gained her third tail, you aren’t too far from the third tail, I believe. Of course, I’m not sure how close Luxa was to gaining her third tail when we first met her. Perhaps you were actually much further behind compared to her the times we found you or her. Nonetheless, she will be playing while you will be working. You will definitely catch up."
Lunelle nodded. ’Thank you, Celis. I put effort.’
A month was only a brief pause. Their cultivation was far from over. They hadn’t even touched their Godly Horror Crystals yet. Celis still needed to resume cultivating so he could calculate, more or less, how long it would take them to reach the next stages. Nonetheless, he was certain they would at least reach the Middle Stage of the Zone God Realm.
"Still..." One of Celis’s roots rose slightly as he examined it. "Since we can already fly, we truly gained nothing from this breakthrough other than larger pools to store energy. I can’t feel like anything else opened up for us."
Celis thought about it for a moment before shaking the thought away. "Forget it. I can’t be too greedy."
His mind then returned to the Zasfin planet where the twins’ group had saved him all those years ago. ’To think we got this far...’
Then, an idea suddenly appeared in his mind. "Now that I think about it, I’ve never been to my birth planet since I left all those years ago." He continued to think. "A month, huh... Well, I have nothing better to do anyway."
*Zush!*
Celis disappeared as well.
