He wasn't surprised in the least when he noticed that there were only 3 publicly listed missions of that class, each of them highlighted in bright black letters that indicated their difficulty and importance.

The Amber Dawn Sovereign? So what? The Lunar Grave guild had more than a couple of Sovereigns of their own. Why would they be worried about the ruler of Amber Dawn?

If anything, this was actually a show of strength on their part, and Liu Mei and the others understood that all too well. To have the gall to operate in the man's own backyard and even designate him as one of their targets showed how little the 2 assassin guilds feared the man.

Of course, Shun Long didn't doubt for a moment that this mission had been placed by either the Lunar Grave guild's higher-ups, the Twilight Sovereign guild's, or it was actually a joint mission both guilds shared.

Without even needing to turn around, Shun Long could tell that both Liu Mei's death qi and Jiang Chen's demonic qi were on the verge of exploding as the two of them clutched their Lunar tokens with solemn expressions.

Xingyi's reaction wasn't too different either, with her eyes glued on the small green jade in her hand while biting her lower lip. Her bright emerald eyes seemed to want to say something, but after a few moments of hesitation, she too managed to stay silent just like Liu Mei and Jiang Chen.

In the end, it was Bai Longtian who broke that silence, as the handsome 'middle-aged' man raised his gaze and met Wolf Hunter's directly, before asking in a curious voice

''Senior, I have a question. Can you tell me the identity of the person who issued this last mission?''

With his eyes lighting up, Wolf Hunter nodded as he looked at Bai Longtian, a sly grin spreading across his face

''Hahaha. You are interested in that mission too, aren't you? Unfortunately, you are not the only one! Every single person who's seen this had the exact same reaction as you. Still, I suggest you give up on it, kid. Our guild prides itself on secrecy so I can't reveal who the person who issued it was, but I can still tell you this: The mission is indeed real and the one who issued it will pay exactly what's written there. Still, even though the target's cultivation base is... unique, there is a reason it's classified as an Abyss-class mission by the higher-ups.''

As he took in Wolf Hunter's words, Shun Long couldn't help but feel somewhat curious about this last Abyss-class mission. It seemed that even Wolf Hunter himself was salivating over the mission's rewards, and by Liu Mei's and the others' reactions, it was obvious that it wasn't that simple.

When the mission's details appeared in his mind though Shun Long unexpectedly grinned, a flash of amusement along with the faintest trace of thick killing intent flashing through his bright golden eyes
