Chapter 4500 - Missing Little Fish
Yin Chen laughed and said, "I know... you are... worried about... Little Fish... but I... can't find... her anywhere."
"Then tell me something about Wondrium Imperius," Tianming said, furrowing his brow.
"So far... no changes... just like... back then," Yin Chen said. It went on to give a brief report about the chaotic wonderian situation. Things were much less chaotic compared to the time the Wondersky Fairy escaped as Tian jiu hadn't shown up for some period of time.
"She hasn't shown herself for a while now? Little Fish, where in the world are you?" Tianming was filled with worry, but there was nothing he could do about it. Even Yin Chen wasn't able to locate her.
"Come to think of it, we haven't seen her in a while! Little Li must be missing her dearly!" Xian Xian said, shaking her head disapprovingly.
"Do you think he misses her company or something else?" Ying Huo said, ever the helpful contributor to the conversation.
"I knew you'd chip in about this, Chicken Bro," Meow Meow said.
"Oh? Cat Bro, you're not sleeping for once," Lan Huang said.
"I couldn't even if I wanted to! I'm filled to the brim with omnisentient power to the brink of exploding!" Meow Meow snapped.
"Filled to the brim to the point of exploding, huh? Sounds naughty," Ying Huo said again.
"Sigh... You're making me miss Sis Wu You... We sure had fun flinging Youyou high up again and again..." Lan Huang said longingly.
Tianming once more felt like his beasts were getting more and more unhinged. Then again, it was true that he missed Moran, however, from her graceful dancing figure to her beautiful swaying— He shook his head to snap out of it. This wasn't the time.
He saw Zi Zhen on the ship. It had been three years since she returned. During that time, she had been absorbing dazzling radiances in seclusion.
"You're back," she said, shooting him a nonchalant look.
"That's right. Something happened." He told her about Huang Qi and the white sword ki.
"White sword ki, first rescue, second kill..." A cold glint flashed across her eyes. "It sounds like they're making a move."
"Yeah. I just wonder where they'll start from," Tianming said.
"Aren't you usually the one to take the initiative?"
"Well, I would if I knew where those number beings hid! I can't find them even if I want to. Not to mention, I'm not their match yet, at least compared to the Adjudicator. I'm still ways off."
"How powerful are you with omnisentient power?"
"I'm not sure, but I'm definitely stronger than imperatores here," Tianming said after feeling his power out.
"The Aeternal Beings must be much stronger than imperatores. Even if we don't count them, there's still seven imperatores in the Realm of Order to deal with," Zi Zhen said.
"Oh yeah, the Adjudicator called you a member of the violetblood race. What was that about?" Tianming asked. Zi Zhen used to call herself a skyghoul and then a sacredfiend skyghoul. Later, they learned that her bloodline was not that simple. Did the Aeternal Beings know more about it?
"I don't know. I still haven't recovered memories about that," Zi Zhen said.
"Your bloodline is way too secretive," Tianming said. At the very least, he could be sure that he had never heard anything about the violetblood race in both the Realms of Chaos and Order. Though she didn't say anything, Tianming could feel what she felt. No matter what, she would stand firmly by his side and wouldn't hesitate even if it would cost her life.
The two talked for a little bit more before Tianming prepared to leave. "I know things are getting dire, but don't rush it. Dazzling radiances interact quite wildly with order. You already forced a breakthrough last time. I worry that rushing will harm your foundations."
"Don't worry, I know what to do," she said, rolling her eyes.
Even so, he knew that she would do anything for him if he was in any real danger. Let's hope things don't reach that point.
When he left the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, he saw a girl dressed in a pink dress waiting for him. It was the Wondersky Fairy. "What are you doing here?"
"Master!" Her eyes brightened immediately as she ran towards him like an excited white flower. "I destroyed eighty percent of all wondersky realms in the Lower Star Ruins!"
"Sounds like you're telling me there's twenty percent left to deal with. Keep it going," Tianming said.
She feigned a pitiful look with teary eyes. "The ones that remain are in remote locations. Each trip takes a long time. Can't I come back for a bit to spend time with Master?"
"You can, but only when you're done with your mission."
"Waaaaah!"
"Alright, enough. You're the second-in-command of the wonderians. Is this how you usually act?"
"Of course not! I have to act cuter for my master, right?" She blushed and gave him a puppy-dog look. "I'm glad you noticed my efforts. Does that mean it's working?"
"Buzz off." He sent her flying with a kick, only to yell her to come back. "By the way, do you have informants among the wonderians? Can you tell me where Tian Jiu is?"
"I used to, but they're no more, of course," she said with a troubled look. "I've already committed fully to you. How could I still stay in contact with anyone back there? Not to mention, the wonderians that fled won't come to you like I did. As far as they're concerned, coming to the Flameyellow Imperial Star is suicide."
"Didn't you have any friends?"
"I wish..." She pouted pitifully. "I have always been alone. The other wonderians are all paired up since birth and are each other's best friends. Why would they bother making friends with me?"
"Alright. Seems like you're quite pitiful after all. Alright, you can buzz off now. Come back to me once you complete your mission." He shooed her away and went on to meet Wudi and Qingyu as well as pay his precious daughter a visit.
