Chapter 7135: Gluttonous Beast
“Not bad.” Apex laughed before uttering his technique: “I stand at the apex.”
He summoned a great peak capable of piercing the heaven and exerting enough pressure to affect the other eight worlds.
Normally, a grand-completion divine beast was stronger than regular primordial immortals. However, Apex’s techniques were at the limit of the dao, allowing him to test crossing the ocean.
This fight was more colorful compared to Hao Cai versus Death Serpent. The latter was a battle of attrition with Hao Cai on the defensive.
As for Apex and Lunar Wolf, they utilized the limits of the grand dao.
Meanwhile, Ninth Lady continued to pull Skykiller Palace and slowed the maelstrom.
“She’s doing it.” Overlords and immortals became ecstatic because the energy outflow stagnated.
“Just have to drag the palace down and this will be over.” Stone Immortal said.
“It’s hopeless.” Chongming Immortal Monarch sighed.
“Why is that?” Stone Immortal asked.
“Because you don’t know how terrifying the enemy is, not even a celestial immortal can save us.” The monarch said.
“Impossible, who else but the divine beasts?” Stone Immortal asked. All remaining divine beasts couldn’t possibly compare to a celestial immortal. If other primordial immortals joined in, their world could be saved.
“Someone unimaginable and unbeatable.” The monarch said softly.
“Even the immortal lord can’t fight back?” Stone Immortal asked. She was the youngest with the most potential. Some believed she could reach the celestial stage later on.
“If resistance were possible, it would have happened long ago.” The monarch said.
Stone Immortal pondered and realized that their lord was sealed without public knowledge. No one had a clue when it happened. Who was capable of this?
“Enough.” A voice echoed and sent out an iron chain to destroy Ninth Lady’s very source.
She reacted quickly and moved the strings before her to stop the whip.
“Bam!” The strings broke down into fragments while she vomited blood while staggering backward.
“Who is it?!” She stared at the attacker.
A burly man walked out of the sea of wisdom. His clothes were tattered; his pants were torn past the knees.
He had a scruffy beard, seemingly having lived in the wilderness. His long hair draped over his shoulders, covered in leaves. He only had one eye on his forehead, doubling the size of a regular eye.
“Gluttonous Beast!” The monarch couldn’t believe his eyes.
Dragon servants everywhere were shocked to see him.
“Master!” The gluttonous dragon servants found this unfathomable.
When Skykiller True Dragon and Phoenix Queen disappeared, he competed against Qilin and Kun Peng for the top spot.
The result was not known but many speculated that he was in first or second place. He somehow disappeared later and unsavory rumors emerged among the divine beasts.
They included tales about how he might have had a relationship with Phoenix Queen, or that he might have done something perverted to her remains...
The older divine beasts speculated that he was imprisoned for a serious crime.
