At first, the group had planned to pair Dian Shu Xian with Dian Wan Ye. However, Dian Wan Ye had smartly pointed out that it would be far better to pair her with Dian Chi Ne instead, as the two of them would make the absolute perfect bait.

They were simply two young, seemingly defenceless women who had come to the island to explore the local tourist attractions. It would not look strange or out of place at all for them to be travelling together as close female friends.

They strongly suspected that the human traffickers working hand-in-glove with the evil cultivators were already riding these public ferries, actively scouting the passengers to search for suitable prey.

Not far from where they were sitting, a small group of suspicious men were gathered in a huddle, talking among themselves. "As per the plan, search for an easy target." One of the men muttered in a raspy tone.

"Sure thing." Another person answered with a subtle nod.

In her message, she instructed Dian Chi Ne and Dian Wan Ye to casually wander over toward her section of the deck. Once there, they would notice three suspicious men talking together nearby.

Yu Qi suggested that they put on a staged conversation, talking loudly about how they had snuck off to this island without anyone back home knowing about it. They needed to ensure that the three men nearby could hear every detail of their conversation clearly.

Dian Wan Ye read the message and instantly understood what Yu Qi’s clever trap was. She gave a subtle nod of understanding and pulled Dian Chi Ne toward the exact spot Yu Qi had indicated. As expected, she soon spotted the trio of men lurking near Yu Qi and Long Hui.

"Ah, I am so happy we actually did this!" Dian Wan Ye giggled loudly enough for the sea breeze to carry her voice.

"Yeah! It is totally worth the trouble." Dian Chi Ne agreed with a bright, enthusiastic nod.

"Well, Mom and Dad have absolutely no idea where we are right now." Dian Wan Ye stated, throwing in a dramatic sigh.

"They might be furious and demand that we come straight back home if they ever find out!" Dian Chi Ne chimed in, playing along seamlessly.

"And that is precisely why we are not going to tell them a single thing about our trip today! Anyway, we are heading back in just two days. There is no way they will ever find out about our trip. Even if they do manage to find out about it later, the worst they can do is scold us a little." Dian Wan Ye said with a breezy, nonchalant wave of her hand.

"You are so right!" Dian Chi Ne agreed with a playful laugh.

They deliberately carried on their conversation quite loudly so that the people around them could easily pick up on every word.

The three men who overheard the young girls’ conversation immediately exchanged silent glances and smiled at each other knowingly. It seemed they did not need to waste any more time looking around the ferry deck anymore. The ideal prey had practically delivered themselves straight into their hands on a silver platter.

These two naive girls had come to the island without telling their parents. They were travelling entirely on their own without any accompanying adults, and they even openly mentioned that their parents had no idea where they were located. It was precisely the exact type of vulnerable target they were desperately looking for.

For the three predatory men, this was an exceptionally good thing. They had just stumbled upon their next easy prey without having to put in much effort or search very hard at all.

One of the men quietly darted a subtle glance back toward Dian Wan Ye and Dian Chi Ne once more. A faint, sinister smile slowly spread across his face. To an outside observer, the two young girls appeared to have no idea that they had already caught someone’s dangerous attention.
