Infernal Apocalypse [ LitRPG , Non-Human Lead, Lots and lots of Fire ]

194. Dreaded Talks (Book Three)

Walking down a staircase deep into the ocean, that was both made of water and surrounded by water, was genuinely interesting.

The further down we went, the more of the ocean I could look at. Seeing the various fauna and flora of the area in their natural habitat like this was really something. It was like being in an aquarium, but actually in it.

Moving on.

Vrusha and I continued our walk for a few minutes longer, until the staircase eventually ceased being stairs, flattened out and became a tunnel of sorts. The tunnel was still made of water just like the stairs, and honestly I'm pretty sure things like this existed even at theme parks, but they weren't made out of moving and flowing water. Anyway the tunnel wasn't all that long and I could see what was on the end of it. A room that was a part of an even bigger place.

The place wasn't made out of water, and as we stepped through the tunnel and into the room, the tunnel behind us collapsed and what remained was a wall of water that clearly couldn't cross the boundary of the room.

Nice.

The room we were in was made out of some type of aquamarine colored stone. And there was nothing else in the room apart from another exit on the other side. Assuming that was where I was supposed to go, I made my way there and into the hallway, which opened up to a much larger room.

There was a few different things in this room.

A massive bed that looked more comfortable than what sleeping on a cloud would feel like, a few other pieces of furniture, like a couch, tables, other chairs and a few other things,.

The most eye catching thing in the room was the wall to the left.

Or should I say lack thereof.

It was quite literally just the ocean. Similar to the entrance we came through previously, despite all of that water, not a single drop entered the room.

We looked around for a few moments then out of nowhere a long, slender, fair skinned leg stepped through the wall of water. Even now as the rest of the body attached to that leg came through the wall of water, I couldn't anything in the water where that body should have been.

And what a body it was.

Once the woman entered full view, I could see her in her entirety, I almost audibly gasped. There was simply no way a woman could be this beautiful. She was barefoot, and there was not a single drop of water remaining on her slender body.

She was tall. Almost as tall as I was, perhaps an inch or two was all that separated us. She was wearing a dress of sorts, that didn't cling to her body in a tight manner, but it also wasn't loose enough to hide her curves.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Then there was her hair, a mix between ocean blue, and sunshine yellow, but not quite green either. It cascaded down to her back and flowed like the waves itself as she walked towards me.

And her face…it…wow I'm actually at a loss for words here.

It would be disservice to compare her to any other woman I've met or could even imagine. She was that beautiful. Soft eyes, that looked like the eyes of a predator in their natural resting state, eyes that were home to ocean blue pupils, a slender nose…and a set of reddish full lips that brought it all together.

Even her blue-ish and yellow-ish scales dotted along her neck and down to her shoulders, didn't do anything to take away from her beauty. It only accented it.

Wow.

Damn…

Maybe starting a war to block marriage is likely not a good idea. Who would do that anyway?

Ahem..

I hadn't moved since she stepped through the wall of water, and she had crossed the distance between us with graceful steps until she was only a few feet away from me.

Then she bowed ever so slightly.

"My name is Laviesa Aquatila. A princess of the Aquatila Empire and I humbly greet the Infernal Patriarch."

I really should get my own greeting down pact. I don't really plan on bowing to anyone, but having a proper response should be important I think. I'll just wing it as always.

"It is nice to meet you Princess Laviesa, my name is Raizen."

She ended her bow and then motioned for me to have seat at one of the tables, I listened and took a seat at the table, she sat across from me.

"You must be wondering why I invited you down here, but it isn't for anything nefarious. I simply wanted to have a conversation if you don't mind."

Yeah nothing's wrong with a conversation.

"A conversation is fine with me."

She smiled.

"Good, then if you'll excuse me, is it alright If I ask your friend to leave? Forgive me I overstepped my bounds in asking so."

Hm.

While I truly found her beautiful, it definitely wasn't to the point that I would do anything that she asked of me. She was attractive, but I wasn't addicted or obsessed.

"Why are you requesting that? Do you plan to discuss secrets?"

"Not necessarily, and I believe this conversation would be more worthwhile if it was just between us. Do not fret…as we will not be entirely 'alone'. There is someone else keeping watch on this conversation.

"It is with her permission that I am allowed to meet you."

Ah…she is probably referring to Elder Zal.

Something I sorta figured out already. Elder Zal would never allow this if my life was in danger. At least not with someone so far above me in power and cultivation.

"Vrusha, return to the shore and gather the group. Same as last time, scout beyond the island, and find our next destination."

"As you wish Patriarch."

He vanished from where he stood and now it was just myself and this Princess remaining in the room.

"By the way, if it is location information on the System Cities of this Planet you want, I can provide that for you."

"You know where all of them are?"

"I do. The Qi on this planet isn't quite so rich yet that it can resist the active senses of an Immortal."

That sentence created a few different questions in my mind, but I'll hold off on asking anything else for now. I highly doubted this was what she wanted to talk about.

"I see. Then I might have to take you up on that offer…in the meantime, what is it you wanted to discuss?"

"Quite direct. I understand. Then forgive me, but this is my first time truly being able to have a proper conversation with someone of your stature, so I might say something offensive by mistake.

"Now to answer your question…I simply wanted to talk about you, and this planet in general. To begin with, may I know why you rejected the marriage proposal with our Empire? Was it perhaps due to the power disparity between the Empire and Infernals?"

…And the oh so dreaded marriage talks begin.
