Besides their plan to deal with the angel of slavery, they also have the pathway of telepathy that still needs to be upgraded to rank 8.
So they were considering if they should do all of these things first and become an angel of slavery before going after the demigod undying.
The power of an angel would surely make hunting the demigod undying easier. It would also be better to focus on one thing now instead of scattering their manpower and attention over many goals.
But as they were eating the flesh of the demigod undying, they noticed that they were not gaining as much qualification as they expected from it. This phenomenon made them stop thinking about other things and try to figure out what was wrong.
They couldn't tell exactly how many qualifications they were gaining, but they could tell how much they were gaining compared to what they already had.
So their perception and measurement of the qualifications they are gaining is relative. And from what they could sense, the flesh of this demigod undying godclad possessed lesser qualifications than them.
To be specific, what they could sense was that the qualification in the flesh is like a drop in the bucket compared to what they possessed. Or it could even be a drop in an ocean.
This made Legion-1 ask in confusion, "How can this be?"
It just didn't make sense that the flesh of a demigod undying godclad older than them, would be of so little help in helping them raise their qualifications to become undying godclads.
The only two possible solutions are that there is something wrong with the flesh, or there is something wrong with them causing them to lose some of the qualifications that they should gain, or that the demigod is younger than them.
In order to narrow down the source of the problem, they decided to use their newly acquired divine ability. This divine ability is the Invisibility Shield.
The rank 8 Invisibility Shield divine ability is a divine ability that allows demigod undying godclads to avoid danger by hiding and becoming unnoticed. The power of the divine ability and to what extent it can help the demigod undying hide is dependent on the age of the demigod undying.
It is not the mastery of the Invisibility Shield divine ability that determines its power. The mastery of the divine ability only determines how much energy is spent when using it.
It is the age of the user that determines the power of the Invisibility Shield divine ability. So the older a demigod undying becomes, the more capable the divine ability becomes and the easier it is to hide.
At the beginning, the Invisibility Shield only hides the demigod undying from sight. But as its power increases, the Invisibility Shield can also hide the sound that the demigod produces and even the heat of their body.
So the capabilities of the Invisibility Shield are not fixed. The defensive power of the Invisibility Shield divine ability isn't fixed either. The older the user of the Invisibility Shield, the more difficult it is to break the invisibility and pierce through its stealth.
This variation in the capabilities of the Invisibility Shield divine ability makes it easy to estimate the range of the age of its user.
This is why Legion decided to use the divine ability now. They wanted to see what they were capable of with it.
Once they see what they are capable of, they will be able to estimate their age. Then they will be able to compare it with the age of the demigod undying which they gained from his memories.
If they can confirm that this demigod undying is definitely older than them, then they will be able to narrow down the problems to the first two possible options.
As they used the Invisibility Shield divine ability, Legion-6 muttered with some fear, "I don't know what I want to happen. It doesn't look like any of our options are good."
Legion-10 said with determination, "We will handle whatever happens, so there is nothing to fear."
Actually, there is something that they should be afraid of, and that is that the source of the problem is that there is something wrong with them.
It is nearly impossible that they will be older than the demigod undying, so it is more likely that something is stealing their qualifications and making them lose qualifications from the undying godclads that they eat or that there is something inherently wrong with them that makes them absorb too few qualifications from eating other demigod undying.
If someone is stealing their qualification or making them lose it, they can find that person, kill them, and solve the problem. But if something is wrong with them, that will be more tricky because they don't even know how to go about discovering what the problem is.
So it was with a heavy heart that they activated the divine ability. Then they left the mansion to test its power.
They went to secretly visit the legends in the array. They bypassed all of their security and appeared before them, but no one noticed them.
They didn't kill any of the legends so as not to cause too much panic that will cause the other legends to run away. They wanted the city to be at peace for their experiment, so they spared their lives.
Next they went up to the demigod in the city. There were three of them, and they belonged to the same family or lineage.
One of the demigods was a noble who served as the core and head of the family. The other two were a knight and a traveler.
Legion was happy that a traveler was around to test their Invisibility Shield divine ability. This was because travelers are the most difficult enemies for undying godclads to deal with.
If there is a pathway that is very adept at dealing with undying godclads, it would be the pathway of travelers.
