Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1275: Another Deadly Quest

When Kent opened his eyes on the outside, they were drawing much closer to the Dark City. He didn't know how his body remained flying when his soul was sucked away to the realm of Karma.

However, he was glad he didn't go splat.

If only he knew the tower was to be thanked for that.

But now that he is back, he can only contemplate the implications of the mission he was about to embark on.

Initially, it was a mission to hunt four beasts; now, it has become a mission to clear a void temple. The danger shifted by so much degree in an instant.

'When did we get here?' Kent said inwardly, feeling his mind go numb.

Suddenly, a ding he hadn't heard for a while sounded in his head, making him smile inwardly. He already expected a quest from the moment he realised the void beasts were back.

He pulled up the message to see the quest details.

When he saw where this quest came from, a smirk formed on his face.

[You have received a quest from the Lord of Karma. Do you dare accept?]

Although there is no accept button, given that this is a non-negotiable quest, the last sentence made him wonder just what he had done to warrant such reactions from Karma.

If only he knew the humiliation he had put him through, he wouldn't dare sleep at night.

[Quest details...]

[Name: Void Temple Destruction]

[Danger: Hell++]

[Description:

↠ 500,000 years ago, the Ancient Void Beast Race made contact yet again with the Known Universe by sending a Void Temple to the upside-down underworld forest. This arrival plunged the forest into the void, sparking a mutation.

↠ Over 500,000 years, the infestation of the Void Temple has spread to all regions in the upside-down underworld forest, turning it into a Void Forest.

↠ All kinds of beasts had undergone mutation, most becoming Pseudo-Void Beasts.

↠ If the infestation is not destroyed, the mutation will spread beyond the borders of the Void Forest, consuming the planets and moons within its reach.

↠ Your mission, should you dare accept, is to venture into the Void Forest and, against all odds, slay the five Void Temple Masters.

↠ Know that the longer the Void Temple remains unconquered, the threat of the Void Beasts will not stop. Also, the Void Temple must be cleared once entered. All forms of connections to the outside world would be severed once you step into the Void Temple.

[Rewards]

↠ All debt owed to Karma would be cleared

↠ 50 Billion Tower Points

↠ Destiny Dream Key

↠ Five Memory Keys (Chaos, Jest, Faceless) & 2 Memory Keys for the Ruthless Bandit

↠ Absolute Life Coin

'I need to inform the ladies I will be gone for a while,' Kent said inwardly, rereading the details of the quest.

Initially, he planned to enter the upside-down underworld forest to farm tower points and strengthen himself while also completing the mission he had given himself.

Of course, the plan had always been to enter the tower now and then to spend some time with his ladies, and even join Uncle Drew and the demigods to go save Kaelith.

However, from how things had turned out, he would be gone for a while, even losing contact with them. He didn't want to divide his attention, considering he would be going against Void Beasts.

Even if they aren't yet Void Beasts, they are in the process of becoming one, so he knew he had to dedicate his time to killing them.

A little mistake will cost him his life.

So he must first inform his wives who are about to enter the dungeon.

Kent came to a stop, prompting the twins to stop as well.

"I need to handle something, so give me a few minutes." They nodded and then, under their watchful gaze, Kent vanished. They became startled, but, realising who they were dealing with, they both calmed down.

Kent appeared inside the Harem Tower, but his ladies weren't there. He quickly made his way to the Legion Tower, where Vexthra was about to brief them on the mission.

Seeing him arrive, Vexthra smiled and reached out to him.

Her sisters quickly surrounded him. Kent kissed them all and promptly proceeded to tell them what he had come to do. Initially, he was going to go from his wives to the Legion and then to the demigods.

But since they were all gathered in the legion tower, he spoke to all of them at once.

"I will be leaving for a while. Of course, I already said that when I came here before. However, this time I'm here to tell you there is a chance you might lose all connection to me.

Do if that happens, know that I am fine.

Where I am going has some restrictions, so it is best I tell you now than to leave you all worried when our connection is severed."

"Master, where are you going?" Kaizo asked, taking a few steps forward.

"I can't say. You know, Karma and all." Kent indeed cannot say it.

This is a matter involving the Void Beasts.

It is considered a taboo to speak about them, since it was believed that the more who knew about them, the greater the chance of drawing them closer to the known universe.

Hearing his reply, all who wanted to protest and offer their help kept quiet. Even his wives said nothing. Vexthra had already told them that when something involved Karma, they shouldn't argue.

Uncle Drew and the demigods were the same. They refrained from offering their help.

Kent was grateful for that. However, since he cannot join them to rescue Kaelith, he made them aware...

"The moment you get your hands on Kaelith, leave. We will go for revenge later." They nodded. After that, Kent pulled Vexthra to the Harem Tower.

"What is wrong, Kent?" she asked. As a goddess, she is eligible to know some hidden secrets of the universe.

"A Void Temple has appeared on the planet I am on, so I need to clear it before it spreads and infects all life."

That was all Vexthra needed to know to turn pale. However, she remained strong for her man.

"Can you handle them?"

Kent smiled and nodded. "If I don't, who would?"

"Then be careful. My sisters and I will be waiting for your return."

"I will, and don't worry, I will return to you ladies before you know it." After kissing her, Kent vanished and appeared back in the air, causing the twins to narrow their eyes.

"Let's go."

They resumed their flight toward the Dark City. Now that he was done informing the people who would worry about him, he left to handle the remaining task required of him before entering that godforsaken place.

Along the way, Kent made one last move to secure his survival.

'Tower, move the system shop to the Soul Universe.'

[Already done with that, master.]

'Good.'

After ten more minutes, the tall walls of a rather vast and majestic city appeared in the distance. When Kent saw this, memories of his childhood came to mind.

He was born in the Dark City, and for the peaceful few years of his life, he spent them there. Seeing it again, he couldn't help but feel some emotions.
