The mayhem was slow to Kurt. Something Harvey had done awoken something within him. Seeing Harvey making flame and blocking an attack at him, through Kurt's legs a flame grow, and Harvey grow.

If Harvey was a puppy he was a full grown dog now. His size seemed to increase as the battle went on. Hank was in another clash, blood came down his arms and legs. This was turning in their favor. Another ice bolt hit the flame bird in the air. It dissolved.

"We have to move!" said Kurt.

Another clash of blades, this time a rock his the person's head, and Kurt gave a nod to Talia. And rushed to an opponent to her side. Thrusting in thier heart. Kurt had no time to think about how many people he had just killed.

He saw Harvey scream and grow, another appendage came out from between his head, now Harvey was the size of a large dog. The appendage twisted and formed into a third head. Which bit the the man next to him.

Kurt turned towards Sara still near the door, and Tim dropped between them.

"I have a path, we have to move," said Tom, "everyone that's coming follow," Tom turned toward Kurt. "Take the rear guard, keep sending those water waves things."

A tentacle from Sara slapped a man, "Laura come with us!" A fire blast shot through the air which made all of them duck.

"Run!" Said Tom, going towards a particular alley.

Sara, Laura, Hank soon followed leaving Kurt behind. He gave a barrage of Crescent slashed; they were all reddish. The adrenaline or something made Kurt's perception increasingly focused. He saw a speedster rush at him, but this time he was able to out rush him. Kurt's sword swung impossibly fast, and stuck his arm. His heart was beating strong but regular. There was a sense of clarity.

As they ran to the alley, dead bodies with arrows in them lined the path. Harvey was breathing fire with two heads and water with the third. He was up to Kurt waist by now, having come in his pocket, the growth was miraculous, a third head. The lizard creature seemed to understand Kurt though.

As they ran through the alley, Kurt periodically turned and sent a barrage of slashes at them.

Kurt heard a discussion between Sara, Laura and Talia. As he was holding the rear back and running through the city. They were going to approach the city wall and try to get out. Laura insisted on being first and there was no time to argue with her.

"We have to get up and over," said Tom.

In the distance a tall snake made of fire formed, the other party was having their own troubles as well, Harvey was capable of crawling up the wall in their way, and his now three heads and larger body were all looking around with intensity.

"We will be targets on my platform," said Talia.

Kurt made a few more slashes in the direction of the men coming for them, they all seemed to stop and get to cover for a moment.

"Get cover!" said Hank. And another fire bird was in the sky darting at them, shooting off a few flames. Kurt wasn't having it and took a massive leap towards the bird in mid air, making a water fist instead of using his sword. Kurt smacked the firebird golem and it went flying to the side and into a nearby building, causing some damage.

He felt something in the fist, looking down it was putting off a red glow, even without his mana pushing into his eye. He had been keeping a state of flow somehow. He was pulling a power deep within him, and it started to coalesce. Taking a slow breath. He felt it pulsing within him, like a dam had slowly started to open.

Three men came from the other direction, fire whips and swords. Kurt ran, and reached the first one faster than he expected, even after the confused situation, Kurt gave slash with his sword, but this time it was fully wrapped with the glowing water. A technique he never could master before. The man was sliced in half like a hot knife through butter. Another man swung his blade, and connected with Kurt's but the man found himself overpowered by Kurt's sheer force. A fire whip grabbed onto Kurt sword, the counter magic activated fizzing the whole whip out, and the man turned and ran. Good decision, thought Kurt.

Kurt made his way back to his cohort fast, "Harvey down," and immediately Harvey jumped off the wall over them taking a defensive position behind them, "if we can't get over we are going through."

"Through? Kurt, I can't do that with my power, not quickly, the wall is too thick, too big."

A whirling sound started to sing through the air. Kurt's water fist was now a completely red liquid flowing in a monstrously fast and violent current around his hand. Kurt dug in his feet and struck the wall as hard as he ever hit anything. THUD! The wall began to crack. THUD! Another strike, the wall seemed to shake. THUD, more of the wall started to crumble. THUD! And the wall started to make a sound like it was giving way.

"Get back everyone, it's going to come down!" shouted Tom.

Kurt turned to see a massive icicle piece the giant fire snake in the distance right on the eye. Behind him a section of the wall had crumbled into a pile, not exactly a pathway, but something you could climb over. He heard a trumpet sound in the distance on the other side of the wall. There were people moving in towards the new found hole. Guess we are using a pincer maneuver now.

"Everyone, let's get out of here NOW!" screamed Kurt.

Everyone started running through the wall, Laura was kept near the center to protect her. Sara's tentacles made a braided formation, which must have been a new shield technique she had come up with. It may not have gone exactly to plan, but the results remained.
