Becoming an Accidental God in a New World

Chapter 112: Ch 112- Mansion Trouble- Part 3

Sir Freddy looked at the shopkeeper in front of him with a pleasant smile. But only his face was smiling at the moment.

On the inside, he was burning with anger and suspicion toward the shopkeeper.

'How the hell does this man know that I smuggle illegal drugs? Did he plant a spy here or something? But from his clothes, he does not look like someone who has a lot of wealth… actually, what the hell are those clothes? Are they a new trend among commoners or something…?'

Sir Freddy could not help but find the shopkeeper incredibly suspicious. But he also noticed how the other two were so obedient to him.

The fact that Officer Henry had allowed him to take the lead for this case spoke volumes about the trust between the two.

And that meant that Freddy needed to be careful about how he treated the shopkeeper.

First, he needed to cover up any sensitive issues that could cause him trouble.

"Oh my-! Drugs? In my territory? What a big accusation to make! I would never allow such a thing to be distributed on my watch-"

"So, you won't mind if we start searching your mansion? Thank you so much for your permission. We will start now."

The shopkeeper stood up before Sir Freddy could say anymore. It made Sir Freddy panic even more, and he followed the man.

"Wait-! I mean, you have not even finished your tea and snacks. You would do me a great honor if you finish them first. Our chef has prepared them with love and care, just for guests like you."

Freddy signalled for his butler to go and take care of things while he dealt with the company and delayed them.

The butler sighed but decided to do as he was asked to. After all, he knew that he and his master were in the same boat. The day his master went down, he would likely follow.

I watched it all happen, but I was not the only one who wanted. Both Henry and Leo had noticed this as well.

And Leo was losing his patience.

Before I could reach out and calm Leo down, he stood up and decided that he had had enough of this bullshit.

"Shopkeeper, I think I have been calm enough up until now. But now, I will be going ahead to search for Luna on my own. I can pick up her presence in this house."

He told me before he took off.

"Hey, wait a second-! That is not-!"

Sir Freddy tried to stop Leo from leaving, but there was not much he could do. So we all followed after Leo as he moved fast and finally opened a door.

The butler looked startled as he watched Sir Freddy enter the room with his guests. But Leo ignored him and looked around the room.

"Shopkeeper, I can feel her. She's around here, somewhere."

He told me, but Sir Freddy seemed to be losing his mind.

"Look, I don't know what is going on here, but I feel insulted. You cannot just come in here and forcefully enter my rooms. Your actions insult my name. I demand compensation."

He told us all while crossing his arms. He looked confident, standing tall and proud like that. But something about his body language spoke that he was nervous.

I did not know whether the other two had picked up on it or not, but I had certainly picked up on his nervousness.

'So he's hiding something after all. Now, seems like it is time for me to shine.'

"Leo, please calm down and take a step back. There is something I want to try out here."

I told him, and Leo frowned. But he did consider what I had asked of him and stepped outside.

Once everyone was outside, I took out my camera and snapped a photo of the room. The camera took a poor-quality picture, but the quality was not what I was concerned with.

Within seconds, I had the information I needed on the photo.

That was all I needed to know. I walked toward the wall where the entrance of the first hidden door was located.

Sir Freddy watched me walk toward the wall with a startled look on his face. His eyes were wide, and he almost let out a flinch at my actions.

"H-Hey-! What do you think you are doing? Stop-! Don't touch anything. You have no idea how costly some of these things are. Stop-"

The man told me as he tried to grab me and pull me back. But before he could even take a step, Henry caught the man.

I kept walking toward the wall and pressed the switch. The wall immediately folded to open a small room. The room could not hold any human, but it held something else that I had not expected.

"These are… drugs?"

The search warrant I had asked Sir Henry made this noble out to be a drug addict, but I had not actually thought of him as one.

"D-Don't-! Those are prescribed drugs. Not anything harmful-! Don't touch them-!"

Sir Freddy yelled, and I stood up slowly.

"Well, whether these are prescribed drugs or not, that remains to be seen. For now, I shall continue to the second hidden compartment."

I told them all as I walked toward the second wall. But this compartment had nothing in it.

And then I opened the third one, which was a long corridor that seemed to lead us somewhere.

"I can sense Luna down there. She is being moved around. We should hurry up."

Leo told me, and Henry followed us as well with a tied-up Sir Freddy.

"You are all making a mistake. This is your last chance to back off. If not, then get ready to forfeit your lives."

He told us with utter confidence, and just as he did, Leo clutched his head. He looked to be in pain, but he did not stop walking.

Leo was determined to find Luna.
