Once Leo was taken to safety, I decided to check on Leo and Luna immediately and in more detail. Leo had not suffered many physical wounds, but I was worried about him mentally.
On the other hand, Luna showed perfect response to my questions and anything I asked her to do. She was showing no signs of trauma even after all she went through.
"You are fine to move around. Leo should be waking up as well soon. I will tie him down as a precaution, so please step back."
I told Luna as I brought out some binds from the system storage. For the second time in my life, I bound Leo to the bed and waited for him to wake up.
Outside of the door, loud noises could be heard as the police quickly showed up to capture the people and take them into custody. It reminded me that there had been actual drugs found in the house along with the mess with Luna…
…not that the mess with Luna was ever going to be public.
After a small talk with Officer Henry about what we should do, we had come to the conclusion that it would be better for us to bury the evidence of what happened to Luna. Leaking what happened would hurt her more than it would help her.
The butler brought us food and other drinks as we waited for Officer Henry to be done with the starting part of the investigation.
We were relaxing in the room when the door was slammed open by an officer and he walked toward us.
"You all are under arrest for being part of the drug smuggling case. Please, do not resist and come with me."
The officer seemed to have mistaken us for accomplices and Luna looked a little distressed. I discreetly grabbed her hand to calm her down, but it was too late.
Leo sensed Luna's distress and sharply stood up to grab the offender by the neck. The officer had no time to react before he was being dangled between life and death.
"Y-You… what are you—"
The officer was turning purple now because of the lack of oxygen and I turned toward Luna.
"Luna, calm down. Your panic is not helping Leo here. Take a deep breath… good! Now, please tell Leo to stop as well."
I told Luna and she blinked as she looked at her brother. She immediately looked alarmed and headed toward him.
"Leo—! Stop it. Do not hurt that man any more than you already have. Let him go now."
Luna's sharp words caused Leo to drop the man and the officer coughed to clear his airways and to get some oxygen in.
Officer Henry arrived during that time as well and he immediately looked at what was happening. He turned toward his subordinate first with a frown on his face.
"What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to leave this room alone? Did you not take my warning to heart? Do you want to die or something?"
Henry asked and his subordinate flinched as he looked at me and Leo.
"I-I was not aware that these people… I will head back now. Please excuse me…"
The man told us before he quickly left. Henry frowned as he looked at us before shaking his head.
"I am sorry about that. Some young officers are too eager to prove themselves and do not… think before they act. Just ignore these kids for your own sake."
The man told us before he left to head outside. I turned toward Leo and Luna next and Luna slowly calmed down as the room became silent once more.
"Leo, can you hear me…? Seems like he cannot yet. Luna, keep him calm. Let me check something with him."
Luna looked doubtful but she nodded and grabbed Leo's arm to pull him toward her.
I took out my phone and snapped a photo of Leo. I was not sure whether what I was going to do would work or not, but there was no harm in trying.

[Name: Leo (the weapon of Groove). Current Condition: Not stable. The mental bond has been strained and stretched beyond repair.]
[Action: Please immediately take to Groove upon discovery. The Groove shall compensate you for all the fees associated with it.]
[Additional reward: 500 faith points on initial completion of the task. Extra faith points will be rewarded for extra work.]
I suddenly felt tempted when I saw the screen. I could take these siblings back to the Groove and gain some incentive and reward.
But then I looked at the siblings and decided that I did not want to separate them so soon… or send them back if this was not what they wanted.
So I sighed and turned toward the two… well, Luna since she was the only one who could answer me.
"I have some… good news and bad news. I will start with the good news first. Your brother will be fine. There is a way to cure him. However, that is where the bad news comes in— we need to head to the Groove to do that."
Alternate way to get Leo back would be to try therapy. But he seemed like a complicated case and also a magical one.
I was not ready to dedicate resources to it when I did not even know if it would work or not.
"I see… is there really no other way?"
Luna asked and I shook my head.
As far as I had found, there was no other way available to use here.
"I see. In that case, I will agree to it as well. I… don't really want to go back. But I will if it is for Leo's sake. He deserves that and so much more."
I watched as Luna cared for Leo and we spent the rest of our time like that. Slowly, the investigation came to an end and they allowed us to leave the mansion to head home.
'Finally, some freedom at long last.'
