Chapter 172: Meeting The Boss's Thug [Bonus Chapter for Massive Golden Tickets Supports]

They had climbed to the top of the first building they brought him to, crossed its roof, and passed through about five more buildings before he finally reached this one.

Yet who would have thought this building wasn't even the one where the Boss was staying?

Actually, the one they called the Boss was in the opposite building, right next to this one, and he wasn't alone.

On the wall, there was a massive three‑meter-long sniper mounted in position, and right now, the sniper's laser light was resting directly on Everlearn's chest.

One could say he had been led through all those buildings just to be placed right in front of death.

But the realization also hit Everlearn, and a smile forced its way onto his lips.

He had doubted whether the thugs truly had a boss, but now he saw it clearly. They had one.

One they feared, and obeyed.

And that was exactly what Everlearn needed. This was one of his major plans to call a truce: get the Thug Leader.

Looking at him, the figure was almost wholly hidden under a massive pitch-black coat that made him blend into the shadows of the building.

The only visible part of his face was a single eye burning bright red, as though flames were trapped inside it.

"Hmmmmmm."

A thick humming sound came from the other side, followed by the soft whir of the sniper adjusting.

"Standing before death, and you can still smile…" the voice echoed, deep and masculine but also strangely mechanical.

"I wonder what type of madman has been brought to me this time," he whispered, and in the next moment, a wicked grin tugged on his lips.

CLICK

The sound of the trigger pulling echoed, and then—

KAABOOOOOOM!

An explosion rocked forth as a missile was launched outward, flashing forward at incredible speed.

Before Everlearn could blink, it was already right in front of his chest, but his shocked expression faded into a grin of mockery and, in the next moment,

CLAAAAANG!

The clash of iron rang out as the back of his hand slammed against the missile's tip, forcing it upward.

It immediately shot into the sky like a rocket, traveling more than twenty meters.

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A powerful explosion rippled through the sky, immediately drawing the attention of the other thugs.

"I guess he got turned into a corpse in the end," the hefty-looking man who had ordered Dolna to take Everlearn up murmured.

The sound of that gun was legendary.

It was the missile pistol their Boss owned, and their Boss never misses.

The little man was as good as dead.

He tried to light a cigarette in pity, but the lighter fell from his hand when,

BOOOOOOOOOOM!

A second explosion shook the air.

Instantly, the thugs shot to their feet.

"Impossible!"

"The… the Boss missed!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The third shot made all immediately run up the stairs toward the Boss's location.

And they weren't the only ones.

Every single thug in the building began racing upward, all heading toward the Boss's location.

__________

"Oh?"

The robed sniper tilted his head, staring at Everlearn, who stood with his hand raised, smoke drifting off the back of his palm as the missile exploded above him.

"You really might be a madman," the figure roared with laughter, and in the next moment, the hulking missile-sniper was heaved off the ground.

BOOOOOOM

BOOOOOOM

BOOOOOOM

Missile after missile fired, but Everlearn moved like a ghost, untouchable.

He burst forward, racing down the building until he reached the edge.

BOOOOOOOOM

The entire building tilted backward as he shot out through the air with terrifying speed.

Three more missiles followed him but missed.

But then Everlearn's eyes flashed, and he muttered

"Interesting,"

A missile was fired, not at him, but exactly where he would land.

If he continued falling, he would land directly before the missile, precisely on his face, which would be instantly blown apart.

But that never happened.

A few seconds before he touched ground, he punched down at the air, slowing himself.

When he eventually reached the ground, he landed on the missile itself, his body leaning forward towards the Boss.

BOOOOOM

The roof exploded beneath Everlearn, who used the force to launch himself forward at high speed.

In a blink, he was before the Boss, whose wide grin darkened as he fired a shot right before Everlearn's face.

BOOOOM

It blasted through Everlearn's, but that was only an afterimage.

Everlearn himself had already faded into thin air.

The missile pistol dropped from the Boss's hand as his other hand reached into his coat, bringing out a handgun.

Without turning, he fired a bullet behind him.

"What the!?"

Everlearn was beyond surprised as the gun appeared right before his face, shooting into his open mouth.

CLIIICK

BAAAAANG

It entered his mouth, only to be crushed by his teeth, but then it detonated, sending Everlearn jerking backward from the force.

BAAANG!

BAAANG!

Two bullets were immediately fired after, both landing on Everlearn's chest and knocking him backward as the Boss reached into his coat and brought out a second handgun.

BAAAANG

BAAAANG

BAAAANG

A rain of bullets poured down upon Everlearn.

He took every one of them, the last one landing right on his forehead and blowing him back.

BAAAANG

Like a corpse, he crashed onto the floor with a heavy bang as smoke billowed from both of the boss's handguns.

"Huuuuuuuuuuu."

An exhale of thick white smoke left the man's lips as he paused his shooting and looked around.

All over the walls, the thugs had already gathered, each of them aiming their guns down at Everlearn, ready to fire on command.

The sight made him shrug in pride, as he slipped his hand guns back into his coat.

He took a cigarette from the box, lit it with a lighter, and walked toward Everlearn, who was lying on his back.

Huuuuuuuuu,

"Still smiling, huh?"

He looked at the boy who, though covered in holes, had a wide, satisfied grin on his face.

"Now… THAT!… is what… you… call… gun… control… ha… ha… ha."
