I'm Trying To Go Broke, So Why Do I Keep Getting Richer?!

Chapter 66: Most Dangerous Place is the Safest...

"Are you seriously telling me to run away?" Kaelus asked coldly.

"I'm not telling you to run away. I'm just saying that we can look for a better place without as many bugs flying around?"

"It might seem that way to you, but what would the others think? I can't run away!"

"If we don't leave this place, then worse things will happen. Eventually, your father will find us. You don't want us to be dragged back, right?"

"That..."

In the entire universe, there was only one person that Kaelus was scared of. It was his father. And the thought of being dragged back, made a chill run down his spine.

"No, we can't let my father find us! I can't have my fun time cut short!" he exclaimed.

Meanwhile, Timmy was simply listening to everything without understanding anything.

Although they were speaking the same language as the one used on earth, their words made him more confused than anything.

This unknown person, whom he thought of as a mere bodyguard of Leo, was strong enough to face Blaze? And after all that, he could still say that he was holding back?

Moreover, even someone as strong as him was scared of his father? Then how dangerous was his father going to be? Just what kind of person did Leo hire as his bodyguard?

So far, only one thing became certain to him. It was that even though Kaelus, and Reven looked like humans, they weren't from earth.

Did that mean Leo also wasn't from earth? At least a seed of doubt was planted in his head.

He was still ignorant to the fact that he had already seen the father of Kaelus. In his mind, it was only a bad dream. Also, he couldn't link Kaelus with that monstrosity

"Then shall I prepare for our departure?" Reven sighed in relief, seeing Kaelus getting convinced.

Unfortunately, Kaelus still appeared to be hesitant.

"I can't leave yet. Isn't Leo missing? I made a promise to myself that I would make him rise the steps of success. Can I leave without him? I will take him with me!"

"Your Highness, we don't even know where he is? Before the villa was blown up, I went to his room to protect him. But there was no one there. Either he ran away long ago, or he was never there in the great place."

"Could those people have kidnapped him?" Kaelus asked, anger rising within his heart. "I don't think that's the case. They were also looking for him after all. They looked just as confused, after all."

"Then where could Leo have disappeared from right under our nose? Could he have been kidnapped?"

Kaelus placed back and forth before suddenly turning to Timmy.

"You there... Can you find him? You must have a way to contact him, right?"

"While I was running for my life, I lost my communicator," Timmy answered. "Then your attack obliterated it. I can't even contact my boss to get me back, let alone contact Leo."

"Tch!" Kaelus started pacing back and forth again. "Should I kidnap a few world leaders and force everyone to look for him?"

"Are you trying to get caught by your father?" Reven was almost at a loss of words at the plans that Kaelus was coming up with.

Before he could come up with another stupid plan, Reven tried to divert his attention.

"Your Highness, We don't have much time to think. We really need to leave. I'm sure Leo would be fine even without us. It's time for us to worry about ourselves instead."

Unfortunately, even now Kaelus appeared to be hesitating. In the end, to protect themselves, Reven had no choice but to lie.

He suddenly looked back at his device, and then gasped in shock. "Oh no!"

"What happened?" Kaelus asked.

"I just received news that Necropolis has sent a ship. And its direction is towards earth. How did they find us so fast?"

"I don't know. But this is really bad! We are in big trouble. We can't waste even a single second here! We need to run away!"

Before Kaelus could answer, Reven grabbed his hand and started pulling him away.

Reven also subconsciously grabbed Timmy's hand, dragging him as well.

Before Timmy could even react, his figure disappeared with Kaelus and Reven. Both of them had left Earth with Reven, but only one out of the three looked like he had left willingly.

"Your Highness, where should we go next?" Reven asked, even as the crew that was stationed inside the ship started preparation for departure.

"Wait, why am I here?" Timmy called out meekly, but his voice was buried within the commotion in the ship of urgent departure.

"If father has sent a Necropolis Ship, and he was able to detect us even at such a distance, then he might have a way to find us again. We can't go to any predictable places."

Kaelus was still distracted in Leo's thoughts, but he couldn't stay behind anymore. He truly had to get out of here, unless he wanted to be locked up at home again.

At this point, his brain was thinking really fast, trying to consider every possible destination.

"Isn't there a saying that the most dangerous place is the safest? Set coordinates for this place..." He typed something on the screen in a hurry. "Even father won't think about searching there, unless he wants to ignite the great war again!"

"That place? We can't! It's too dangerous to go there! It's like running away from a Void Beast, and straight into a Nightmare Beast's Mouth!"

Reven never looked as scared as he did now. Even as someone from Necropolis, he couldn't hide his fear at the mention of the destination.

"What are you waiting for?! Get going fast! Father's people are on their way!" Kaelus coldly commanded, his thoughts already being in a mess at the moment.

At this point, Reven thought that it might be better to tell Kaelus the truth that he had lied about the arrival of Necropolis Ship.

Unfortunately, looking at Kaelus's sour mood, he couldn't get himself to accept that. He had truly hit himself in the legs with this lie.

He wanted to get away from a problem, only to end up in a bigger one. And he couldn't even do anything about it but to follow orders

He could only sigh as he confirmed the coordinates with trembling hands. As descendents from Necropolis, they were going to infiltrate the domain of their eternal enemies...

They were going to enter an Ancient Planet, one of the three that had survived the last Great War with Necropolis.
