Tribal Sign-In: Immortal At The Start

Chapter 133: Demonic Heart

The humanoid monster gave a glance at the moon. Dashed towards the nearby monsters, and its purple flame devoured them.

Rion watched everything in a state of daze as even thinking was impossible for him.

Suddenly, a familiar sound rang in his head.

[Ding!]

[Yes / N… ]

He frowned upon seeing the broken screens, but as he tried to think about it, countless external thoughts struck his mind like a thunderstrike.

He stopped thinking, but the headache stayed as his subconscious mind thought by itself.

His lips quivered as he barely managed to answer, "Y-Yes."

The screens appear one after another, and a screen that he had never seen before appeared.

[Err...! Err...! Err...!]

Just by seeing the broken screens, he could understand that something had gone seriously wrong, but he couldn't guess what, as he didn't have the right to think.

So all he could do was stare at the screens in a daze.

Just as this screen appeared before him, he was thrown out of the humanoid monster's body, and he flew around it in the form of a luminous white candle-flame.

Confusion dwarfed all of his other emotions and psychological states. He exhaled deeply and yelled, "What the fuck is this?!"

He clicked his tongue as his headache began to intensify.

After pushing his thoughts away, he ignored the loading screen and focused on the humanoid monster.

The humanoid monster had already devoured enough monsters to reach the strength of three-horned kareth and was searching for more.

Rion continued to watch it, and a few minutes, hours or maybe months later, he noticed something.

"It is only going for monsters that are weaker than itself."

The other monsters were attacking anything that fell into their gaze, no matter if the opponent was strong or weaker, they latched onto it, and none of them had any strategy.

However, the humanoid monster was different; it acted injured before those who could contend against it and just as they attacked, the purple flame devoured them.

Everyone... everything had the same end.

Any monster that it chose as its prey had only one end, and that was to be purified by its flames.

More time passed, and the humanoid monster had reached the strength of a five-horned kareth.

But even after gaining such a level of strength, it continued to follow its previous strategy.

It acted, it devoured, and it grew.

It acted, it devoured, and it grew.

It acted, it devoured, and it grew.

It acted, it devoured, and it grew.

Until one day, its act failed to fool a monster that had the strength of a six-horned kareth, and it was forced to battle without deception.

Rion was sure that it was the end, but he was wrong... so wrong.

The humanoid monster didn't obtain the spark because of its luck, but because it was worthy of it, and it proved it by ripping apart the monster that had dared not fall for its act.

Its purple flames killed the monsters within a moment; one could argue that it was a peaceful death, but the same wasn't true for this one.

It ripped the monster's limbs one by one and allowed death when the monster's ravenous eyes had more despair than hunger.

More time passed, and the humanoid monster reached a level that Rion couldn't even guess anymore.

After it reached that level, it killed a monster that was as strong as it, and purple flames shot outwards, but instead of devouring it, the purple flames went deeper inside.

A few moments later, the dead monster's lifeless grey eyes turned red, and it stood up with purple miasma swirling around it.

Rion's eyes widened in disbelief, but he kept his mind in control.

Just — Rion guessed — a few days later, he noticed another change.

"Why does it keep staring at the sky?"

From the day it had managed to create what Rion called the first kareth, it stopped looking for any prey and found a spot which had no monsters at all.

The only thing that it did was stare at the ominous red sky while the red moon stared at it as if it was curious about what it would do next.

Some time after, it once again began its hunts, but it no longer devoured them; instead, it took their corpses to its spot for a reason unknown at the moment.

[L...ading… 70%]

Time passed, and it had collected so many corpses that they resembled a small mountain.

One day, it suddenly climbed on top of the corpse mountain and roared at the sky.

Rion couldn't understand what it was trying to do, and all of a sudden, purple flames flooded out of it.

The purple flames didn't devour; instead, they crawled inside them, awakening them from their slumbers.

Their lifeless eyes turned red as they were pulled into the realm between life and death.

However, the flames didn't stop.

More and more flames surged into their body, and they exploded.

BOOOOOOOOM—!

A world-shattering explosion tremored throughout the dark world, shaking its very core and the humanoid monster streaked towards the sky.

Air screamed, and it crossed the smoke-filled sky. Soon enough, even the red light of the red moon didn't reach it, and its flight continued.

Rion didn't know how much time passed as it continued to fly upwards. He tried to look for anything, but all he could see was nothing.

It lifted its claw towards the dark sky.

Purple flames appeared around it, and they shot upwards.

[Ding!]

[System has been stabilised!]

[Your reward has been changed accordingly!]

[Congratulations! You have obtained Demonic Heart!]

Rion ignored the screen and watched the purple flames.

The flames flew towards nothing and...

They devoured the Nothing.
